Joe Rodon to Leeds, Archie Grey to Spurs.

Is Archie Grey the kid we were linked to a little while back?

Yes, he was linked with everyone to be fair.

No doubt he’s very good technically, I just think he’s severely lacking in pace and agility. Can’t see him sticking him at RB, and when he played CM for Leeds they were getting overrun every week which is why he moved position.

I think he’s a little way away from being a PL starter - but that’s not a slight on him given that he’s 19.

EXCLUSIVE: Chelsea and Arsenal are informed on Riccardo Calafiori deal conditions. Juventus agreed on personal terms with Calafiori last February, but Bologna prefer to sell Riccardo abroad. The relationship between Bologna and Juve is tense after Thiago Motta’s switch, Calafiori deal is difficult. Chelsea want to bring in new left footed defender as Calafiori has been added to the list, as told last week. Arsenal are also interested, left footed defender also likely to be added with Calafiori deal already explored. Other clubs like Bayer Leverkusen also show interest but Bologna believe Premier League is the most likely. Fee expected to be high as FC Basel are due to receive almost 50% of the final fee from Bologna… which club should go and sign Calafiori?

Fulham have granted Palhinha his wish: he’s on his way to Bayern for 51+5 million euros. Great to see Bayern pulling out all the stops to make their league competitive again.

Everton get an established central midfielder who was Sheff United’s POTY in their promotion campaign and played 44 times for Marseille last season for only a little bit more than they managed to get for Dobbin.

Not bad business they did there to sell a 21 year old, who has less than 250 minutes of PL football to his name, for 10m. Totally above board and nothing suspicious at all.

Interesting bit of business from Southampton. Very highly rated and for just £3m, could prove to be an absolute bargain.

Love that transfer for them, especially at that price. I think Man City were quoted £20m for him last season.

Only knock on him is that he’s used to a 3 at the back, playing as the middle man. Moving to a flat back 4 may be a bit of a learning curve.

This is the kind of player Southampton should be signing though. Pairing him with Harwood-Bellis and they have two potential England internationals in the heart of defence.

We will end up paying 70M for him when he has reached the required level to play for Liverpool?

He got a good number of appearances for Villa last year. He didnt do particularly well, but its a sizeable hole in their squad they will have to replace without having much financial room to do so.

I don’t think so, didn’t really expect them to buy or keep Zaniolo. It depends also on what Emery does, as early at Villa he played a narrow 4-4-2 without any wingers. Last season, he started using more offensive XI’s. They have players who are more for combining or others who are more direct. In Zaniolo’s position (which is not really clear now, Atalanta’s system might be better for him, although they already bought De Ketelaere, who is similar) Looking at Villa’s first team squad, it’s pretty large right now. They’ll probably have to offload a few.
