Sandro Ramirez from Everton to Huesca on a free.
Jeff Reine-Adelaide from Lyon to Nice on loan.
Djamel Eddien Benlamri from Al-Shabab to Lyon on loan.
Roque Mesa from Sevilla to Real Valladolid on a free.
Facundo Pellistri from Penarol to United for ÂŁ7.6m.
Arthur Zagre from Monaco to Dijon on loan.
Emiliano Rigoni from Zenit to Elche on loan.
Sebastian Cristoforo from Fiorentina to Girona on a free.
Tosin Adarabioyo from City to Fulham for ÂŁ1.5m.
Ivan Marcone from Boca Juniors to Elche on loan.
Ruben Loftus-Cheek from Chelsea to Fulham on loan.
Rafinha from Barca to PSG on a free. Bit of an odd one from PSG, I thought they had enough of the likes of Draxler, Sarabia, etc. Simply enough offensive players. Tuchel must be fuming he wasn’t allowed the signing of Rudiger.

I think they wanted Aouar as first choice, yet paid in full a similar free. Strange actual negotiations but I think he’s a quality player, was their best player in both games v’s us last season.

So that’s where he has been

Malang Sarr from Chelsea to Porto on loan.
Jaroslaw Jach from Palace to Fortuna Sittard on loan.
Adrian Fein from Bayern to PSV on loan.

It’s interesting that Brighton spent £8 million on two players they sent back on loan straight away.

  1. They aren’t that rich that they can invest for future, are they?
  2. Why didn’t they spend the money to strengthen the squad which needs some strengthening?

Yeah, got to respect Potter for the work he’s doing there. Ending the summer in a profit, bringing a few loanees back, a few cheapish deals and a few for the future. A lot of players who were there under Hughton are still there and he’s changing the style. Results will have to be good enough, however. Last season they were. Now you’d expect them to have a more peaceful season if they can.

Marko van Ginkel from Chelsea to PSV on loan.
Juan Familia-Castillo from Chelsea to AZ Alkmaar on loan.
Joao Mario from Inter to Sporting Lisbon on loan.
Diogo Queiros from Porto to Famalicao on a free.

They’ve got a youth development programme they’re heavily invested in and they likely feel their squad is strong enough to stay in the division.

I don’t think Potter is the kind to block the development of a youth player unless it is absolutely essential, so dipping into the market for a first team is only going to happen when he thinks he needs the player.

Thanks @Sweeting. But they have been struggling, or at least struggling at the start of the season.

Bruno Martins Indi from Stoke to AZ Alkmaar on loan.
Tudor Baluta from Brighton to Dynamo Kiev on loan.
Felipe Anderson from West Ham to Porto on loan.

Another one with a few flashes of quality and nothing more.

Yeah they’ve had a tough start, although they’ve mostly played against sides they don’t expect to beat.

They’ll be fine though.

So who made the most of the Transfer Window?

Arsenal!!! Gabriel and Thomas are very good signings while Willian will add depth and experience.

Aston Villa :sunglasses: Watkins anyone!!!

Chelsea  247 millions

Everton: Say what you will, but they have done some prudent and shrewd signings.

Leeds: Spent a fair bit. Don’t like that Koch guy though.

Leicester: Castagne looks grand :kissing: Don’t know about the other guys.

City: Selling Otamendi for 15 million :astonished: don’t write them off yet

United???

Tottenham???

When the BBC invited users to rate clubs by their transfer window I went with:

  1. Aston Villa
  2. Liverpool
  3. Everton
  4. Spurs
  5. Chelsea
  6. Arsenal

All the rest I thought were poor. Either not doing enough business or buying poorly and failing to address weak areas in their squad.

Yes I think Spurs have done some nice under-the-radar purchases. Also, while the Cavani deal got all the attentions, I think the other United signings will be useful.

If I’m being objective, Everton have had at least as good a transfer window as us, if not better. I just couldn’t bring myself to put them above us.

Spurs have done well - Carlos Vinicius, Bale, Reguilon, Doherty, Hojbjerg
good signings.
