It’s one after the other with that club, is it anymore mind blowing than spending 70m on a keeper that in the end played as back up for 2 years? Or anymore mind blowing than spending 600m in 3 months only for their best player to be a 37 year old they signed on a free?
£25m for Sanchez (who should arguably now be their #1) is probably down the lower end of the scale of what’s considered mind blowing.

According to this BBC article he signed a long-term contract in May. It also gives some insight into why he may have had a bad patch last season. So, signing Raya, if true, seems to make even less sense now.
