I’ll second the nomination for "The Goons, without which there would never have been a host of subsequent comedy shows including Monty Python.

And I’ll add “I’m Sorry I’ll Read That Again”, (without which there would never have been “I’m Sorry I Haven’t a Clue”) the precursor of “Twice a Fortnight”, “Do Not Adjust Your Set” & “At Last the 1948 Show”, all three antecedents of Monty Python.
