TAN Greatest: Invention. Currently experiencing technical issues

Holmes all the way.

I’ve disagreed with the results of most of the heats, but looks like the forum has come to its collective senses for the final :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

Completely forgot about this. :joy:

Anyway, a mere eighteen days after saying I would close the poll in a week, I can officially announce Sherlock Holmes as the inaugural TAN Greatest Fictional Character.

A bouquet of flowers and a Christmas Ham are in the post to 221b Baker Street.

Thanks to all who voted; if there’s sufficient interest, we’ll run another competition in the new year.

52/48 split :face_with_raised_eyebrow:

Fuck that I am organising nationwide protests to get the result overturned.
We all know the vote was rigged by that Blowfeldt.

No but he’d make an excellent Lord Vetinari.

It was always going to be him against Bond I think. Honourable mentions to Homer, Frodo and Sam Vimes but I fully understand that Bond, Homer and Frodo are a bit niche

Two suggestions for the next one: Either female characters only or non-human ones.

I am loving this stage of the parental journey…

I find myself critiquing Bing and The Go-Jetters every morning.

Who knew one of the simple pleasures in life was having a cuppa and watching the morning news??

For the first time Margaret Thatcher may win a Poll on a Liverpool site.

I’m assuming she’d be considered a non-human entry.

Just wish she had been fictional.
