When I have a cup of tea I use bone china. I’ve got a bone china Liverpool mug, many years old, and I honestly think that tea tastes better in it. The cupboard is full of mugs of all kinds, but I will be gutted if my bone china Liverpool mug is broken.

The very delicate Bone China was the reason I heard, that milk goes into the cup before the tea is poured. Otherwise the heat from the liquid can crack the cup.
I actually put a system in the Potteries way back… One was part of a bone factory that imported the bone from all over the world… Camels, Donkey’s, Zebra’s, you name the animal, if it had bones (normally bleached), they were exported to this factory, and ground to a fine powder - The China connection, comes from the smooth pebbles, which contained minerals that can only be obtained from that region… Thousands of 50kg bags. These too were ground to a fine powder in a ball mill.
The clay slip (Mica), was mined in the only place on earth… Cornwall (Lord Falmouth land)… Blended together, produces the white clay all English china is made from…
… and that is the history lesson for today :0)

Brighton ‘embroiled in bizarre legal battle with Croatian minnows and demand they change their badge’, amid claims theirs has been copied

Story by Will Pickworth

Fabian Hurzeler’s side, who are known as the Seagulls, have been synonymous with the bird being emblazoned across their badge since 1977, having previously been known as the Dolphins.

However, according to Croatian outlet, the club became aware of the badge of NK Jadran-Galeb, who currently sit top of the third tier in the country.

Jadran-Galeb’s club crest is seemingly identical to Brighton’s, bar the text - and the report claims that Brighton became aware of this.

It goes onto add that Brighton sent a multi-page legal letter to the club requesting clarification with regards to the design, while they also issued a warning where they claimed the logo must be removed.

For all of you who can’t understand Croatian, “Nk Jadran Galeb Koledinek Kuzminek” litterally means “Brighton & Hove Albion”.
