Calling someone a Muppet is on a level of twit or fool. It’s rude, but hardly filled with hate.
I’ve never understood why it’s an insult anyway. I rather like the Muppets. OK, Animal is a bit unhinged, but we all have a pal like that.

Honestly, just take a back seat and chill. Nothing against what you feel but you are not going to get anywhere and this is an internet forum, just relax, don’t let it affect you. Do I think some of the mods decisions are ridiculous and reflects their bias? Yes I think so but on whole, mods will never please everyone so its better to just leave them to do their jobs.

They are at totally different levels though. And plenty of us have been called on on here acting a muppet - no one has ever kicked off about it and accepted that they had been acting foolishly and deserved to be called out for it. But to call someone a cunt with the aggressive tone that you used, it was always going to draw the attention of the mod team.

I am actually a mod of a wild life forum so no, it’s not just in my head and no, being a mod is not some esoteric mystery that only a few can understand with vagaries beyond normal comprehension and I’m sorry but you should know better. That’s not hard to comprehend.
I think that was the intention, and a bigger reason why it was removed.

You are missing the point. That’s not what I’m saying at all.
Back on TIA we had a much more active moderation standard and we would actively moderate the standard of posting, not just the rules (I remember one of my first posts earned my a slap off Matt for basically talking shite). In those circumstances it might be reasonable to suggestion the mods have a responsibility to lead by example.
That is not how it works here. We are very, very very, hands off.
Like Hope said, he would have removed it, and your post that sparked it - which was much worse - had he seen it last night. As it’s the next day he let it go.
And, let’s be honest, it is just muppet. It’s hardly being called a cunt. This fuss you are making about it, is really making you look a bit of a m… no, I mustn’t.
And I will edit my post, but I have been called far worse and not moaned, but would never on here used what you supposedly did, if you had PM’d me it might have been easier.

Fair enough, however that’s given you some leeway over the years to yourself be somewhat less than savoury. I’m not sure another of the moderation team has had as many complaints against them, if any at all.

In fairness he’s essentially asking for them to remove his account, and in all honesty if he continues to gripe about something as harmless as being called a muppet , maybe he needs to have some time to reflect on the sensitivity issues in life in general .

Just call whoever you have a problem with an idiot or an asshole and be done with it, if it’s so important.
People get pissed off at others all the time, but can’t expect moderators to run around and delete the little emotional stabs. That would be a work chore or, worse, this forum would end up banning a lot of otherwise interesting people because they have a bad day or get too emotional. The mods don’t delete insults really, just the worst of them. People have spats, then calm down later.
The only reason why your outburst was deleted, is because “Cunt” is considered particularly bad in English culture (it is not considered that bad in mine compared to in English). If you are English, then I suppose you know that .
Seems a bit trivial this.
