I only just bothered to contrast it with our own position. As of gameweek 25 (to flatter them a little) we were 7 points ahead of them. Since then, we’ve won 19 of 24 points, despite losing the league when we lost against Fulham. So we’ve widened our lead when we were supposedly vulnerable and playing like shite.
Can’t be doing with Arsenal winning the Champions League.
They’re already heavy favourites for Zubimendi, who will elevate them, and they’ll be definitely going for an elite forward.
Sealing Europe’s top prize AND adding from a position of strength will make things very competitive next season.
I can’t be doing with Man Utd winning the Europa League either. Just instantly makes them very attractive too.
But, but, they won the London Premier League ![]()
Zubimendi looks too lightweight for England.
Well, there is that, and hopefully he gets homesick and struggles to settle.
Is this a post from the 00’s? Thought we were past it.
Sure, there are players who struggle with the physicality here (and I don’t know how Zubi will do), but sometimes it’s the ones that look strong.
I’ve seen a young Raheem Sterling lifting Kompany off the floor with his back, as he was shielding the ball in one duel.

I can’t believe there’s talk of them winning the CL.
Yes they beat Real Madrid handsomely but so did we. And so did a shit AC Milan side. And Lille too. They also got pumped by Barca in the league. And let’s be honest here, Rice hit two unbelievable free kicks in that. One in a million occurrence that completely changed the tie. Not saying they didn’t deserve to win but there was more than a touch of fortune when it came to those goals.
It took PSG penalties to beat us but everyone was purring over their performances in both legs. And they’ve had the chance to rest players with the league wrapped up a couple weeks back.
But should they get past PSG it’s likely they face Barca in the final. That’s no gimme. We’re not talking about the other semi being Spurs vs Ajax like when we won it where we were pretty big favourites no matter who goes through.
They’re third favourites for good reason and I think that 3-0 against Real is masking a team that is limping to the end of another season.
We’ve seen much worse sides than this Arsenal one go all the way…
They still have a job to do though. The PSG ecounter will be very interesting, but they’re at the final stages and are a quality side, of course they have a chance.
Having watched him in Spain.
Arsenal winning 1-0 against Everton.
Saka comes on in the 46th minute.
Ndiaye equalises in the 49th minute.
Games finishes 1-1.
Arsenal winning 1-0 against Brentford.
Saka comes on in the 63rd minute.
Wissa equalises in the 74th.
Game finishes 1-1.
Arsenal winning 2-1 against Crystal Palace.
Saka comes on in the 60th minute.
Mateta equalises in the 83rd minute.
Game finishes 2-2.
All for Bukayo Saka being the difference maker and the real reason to why Arsenal didn’t win the league. Generational bottler.
Yeah I remember Saka being mentioned as the possible difference if we started to drop points.
Is the apparent Arsenal signing of Zubimendi lazy or genius?
Knowing LFC had done all the hard work last year ending in a rare rejection, and knowing our Scouts are generally spot on, maybe the Arse simply conclude he must be the man? Sign him up.
Should LFC try again? Or has that ship sailed…fuck off you had your chance. Or was he really waiting for Real like every cunt. I know Grav stepped up but why wouldn’t we go again?
Maybe we’ve got other ideas this summer.
Remember Nicolas Pepe. We did the hardwork, balked at the price and backed out.
Arsenal bought him and got fucked over.
All I remember about him was that sitter he missed against us at 0-0 only for us to score about 5 minutes later.
Though it might not even be him…
He wasn’t bad in general. I felt. But they had to let him move for free with an year still existing on his contract.
From what i remember Arsenal were ireportedly trying to sign him early last summer before we did. He didnt want to leave his club so they did a deal for his team mate instead. That’s part of the reason his club fought so hard to keep Zubimendi - they didnt want to lose both players that window.
Wasn’t it the season before they and Spurs were after him?
