It was probably written for him by their corporate communications intern.
Wait until he starts missing the mountains, the rain and the pulpo.

So it wasn’t the mountains…frankly I am glad we didn’t buy him, we won the title and Grav got to develop into a mainstay. Saved us some cash and I don’t particularly think we missed alot.
And this summer weve bought 3 top talents one probably the best German talent in years.
Mbeumo at least supported them as a child (or so he claimed). Zubimendi… Ah, well, I’d say we moved on from him as early as last October when we realised what player Gravenberch was turning into under Slot.
For all the gnashing of teeth about how much we’ve spent this summer, if arsenal close thei gyokeres deal there going to be right there with us. And that is without much of an expectation of significant money raised in sales the way we do
Absolutely. The LegoMan gets away with so much given what he’s spent and how much time he’s had.
And contrary to any Arsenal framing, can’t see anything in Zubimenda’s comment about favouring Arsenal - he wasn’t ready for us when we were interested and we weren’t interested when he was ready. We get our PL titles and he got some mountain air and gets to keep his trophy shelf uncluttered and easy to dust.
Trust the process guys…
He basically made it clear its all about Arteta and his theoretical two league titles for 22/23 and 23/24, where Arsenal had a better points total than we had (with us still having games to play) in 24/25 to win the PL.
Zuba-2ndplace at best.
I still think that the riots in Southport made him think twice. I can’t blame him if he was looking to move to a new country and that sort of thing gave him cold feet.
Problem for Arsenal is they regressed. Yes others did but Man City always have a season of this.
Arsneal hierarchy covering Artetas ass with made up stories now of Zubi always being part of the plan.
Arsneal fans will lap it up. Its not as funny as Newcastle fans thinking theyve played a blinder by tricking us into signing Ekitike ![]()
When did he sign for Everton?
Everton/Arsenal - they are no Crystal Palace or Tottenham.
Deal finally done …
I think he’s going to be an enormous stinker. Give it until October and fans will be demanding that Havertz is played up top.
Wow, what a great deal they hae pulled off. Never heard anything in the media or online about this - Top work from the Arsenal negotiating team to get this deal wrapped up so quickly and quietly - even better than our negotiating for Fabinho
My expectation is he will be a bit bish-bosh, scoring a few against teams they would be beating anyway, but not really improving them with much of a threat against the better sides.
Let’s see, but I do not see much improvement in the Arsenal side with their signings. More depth, yes, but nothing that makes me wish we were doing any of their business.
God’s honest truth.
Love the breakthrough part… ![]()
Could be true. They were trying to sign him last summer, but picked up his colleague when Zubi was relctant to leave. We stepped in later in the window, when Zubii’s camp said they were now open to moving.
I can’t fucking stand Adrian Durham but I love that he was calling out Lego Pep for his ‘there are 8 teams that can win it’ nonsense.
He’s shit scared and it’s still July.
