Arsenal seeing us sign a striker while they still ain’t got Gyokores

Imagine saying that though and the club you lead isnt one of them

Quote of the Day:
I’d take Ole back over Nicholas Jackson.
Whoops.
Wrong thread.
Oh well.
Arsenal are so good at buying cast offs from the other “big 4” clubs that it wouldnt be THAT out of left field if they turned to Ole to address their striker needs
Don’t see anything wrong with what he said, even when you take that usual aspect of “I’m here, so all positive” into account. Arteta does seem to be obsessive (not always positive) and detailed coach and Arsenal are a great club. Especially if all Zubi knew until now was Sociedad.
I like Rice but there is a toxic thing at Arsenal of seemingly being more interested in finding an excuse than just buckling down and doing the fucking job.
Yeah right…
Why did it hit them in March?
I’d hazard ours is less and we’ve won two league titles and a CL in that period.
Well up until two months ago (yes)
The only trophy that Arteta won was with the team left behind by Emery.
Found Arteta’s sock account.
Arteta has had several years to mould it, look at what Klopp had in 2015.
yay, and there was much rejoicing…
Strange he didn’t mention the team Klopp inherited, before winning it all in 3 yeara
I think most people would put 22-23 as the point at which this became his team. That summer he’d finally rid the last of the high priced attackers he didnt want and brought it in the two lads from City who solidified the idea of the way he wanted to play - an inverted FB to pack midfield and a “false 9” for a forward. Lots of fans were skeptical of playing without a proper striker, but they improved so most went with it, but at the end of the season the general perspective was that if they want to take the next step they needed a proper striker. Arteta didnt just say no, he doubled down by spending a big chunk of budget on a Jesus redux in Havertz and continued playing the same way. Last summer the complaints were still the same and Arteta still ignored them. Now, in this 4th year of proper ownership of the team he manages he has finally acquiesced.
I dont think mangers should be held to account for evolving their style and approach over time. But I think to now go out and buy the most textbook number 9 on the market after 3 years of rejecting claims of Arsenal needing a better striker is probably something that should have questions being asked.
Kai Havertz is my favourite player into the Germany national team. For me is a very great performance, if he are a regular player at a great club in a great division outside Germany. I have a Germany jersey with the name of “King Kai”.
It’s very nice, Florian Wirtz has did too make the step to Premier League, in this case LFC.
