The Arsenal Thread

Calafiori used to be a striker in his younger days. So the team morph into Stoke is nearly complete.

I remember them rushing him and someone else back vs us.

And he calls the rest of the forum bedwetters

And that’s exactly what I was doing in my post here.

It’s just that people’s comprehension skills don’t appear to be very high.

Idiots.

cynicaloldgit morphs into insultingoldcunt.

This transformation comes courtesy of believing in an online persona that one creates to overcome the boredom of life. Sadly, its untreatable and makes the poor old git respond with more insult. The only way to reverse the process is the oldgit himself…

The pity is, the originaloldgit was entertaining and insightful and generally loved.
This version is becoming tedious.

Nah
I’m very much the same.
Happy Valentines Day.

Chill a bit and stop calling people idiots and bedwetters for discussing stuff on a forum.

Yeah @cynnie, let’s have more discussion of your $500 lunches and bottles of Domaine Romanee Conti and Y’quem and less of your regular mattress replacement. Bring back the glamour!

Times:

The options are limited and include Maxi Gómez, 28, Mariano Díaz, 31, Wissam Ben Yedder, 34, and Diego Costa, 36.— four experienced strikers not attached to a club at present. “I’ll explore every possible situation and make a decision from there,” Arteta said.

Why do they need another striker? Robbie Earle said Mikel Merino is an £80m striker…

LegoMan = Jesus. Turning 30m midfielders (like water these days) into 80m strikers (like Darwin - who many regards as the father of evolution - and so better than wine).

Come to think of it don’t think even Jesus did that.

I mean the Jesus they do have is apparently injured and useless so…

Hey, it was with add-on clauses…

In these chaotic times where nothing seems to make sense anymore, it is good to be able to count on something…

No Injuries ✅

VAR jam ✅

It’s safe to say Liverpool have been lucky this season compared to Arsenal when you take VAR errors into consideration.

Seems that they are actually only 2 points behind…

I’d like to see how they judge VAR errors.

We including say the foul against Bournemouth where he wasn’t sent off at first but was reversed on video….correctly.

These are the 13 recorded though I’d be a little apprehensive about suggesting we beat West Ham solely for a lack of a penalty given to them at 1-0.

Still that only results in a draw at best (unlikely as they were probably the worst side we’ve played all season).

They don’t get any extra points for that Wolves game.

Assuming that they scored the penalty and magically became the best defensive team in the country instead of shipping another 4 goals…

Yeah I’m still only making 2pts dropped so where the other 5 come from.

Assume it’s the Bournemouth game being one but then it was 0-0 so that’s only a point and was also the correct decision.

It’s why it’s best to just laugh at fan made graphics.

Good job they’ve got the trophies to show for it.

Arsenal reported that “wage costs increased significantly”, rising almost 40% from £234.8m to £327.8m

That’s pretty huge year-on.year. Of course, they may have been investing on that knowing that they would have Champions League revenue.

Have they factored in the goal they scored from the corner they were gifted against Spurs when 1-0 down?
Or the goal by Beto from the free-kick the blueshite were wrongly given last week? Or the equaliser 8 minutes into 5 minutes added time?
How about Periera’s goal for Fulham when he should have been off? The Robertson red card?
