You forgot 9 and 12.
Tired and drinking my second g&t here, lol. Mathematical ability might be getting impaired.
We’ll see what happens. I hope we beat the barcodes and Arsenal implode. YNWA.
Yes, against Villa we drew through us missing chances whereas against Everton we let them dictate the style of play by drawing us down to their level
Villa are significantly better than Everton.
Should have won against Villa , Everton. And even Forest away I dare say. That’s 6 points lost. And we would be looking far more comfortable than now.
No ifs and buts about that.
We played better against Villa than what we did against Everton. But if we can use the performances against City(home and away) as a benchmark, we shouldn’t have a problem.
Ironically our worst performance of the season came against wolves at home. So that’s a much needed reminder that we can be our worst enemy at times.
He can go hammer and tongs at the UCL but his team aren’t making it to the finals leave aside even winning it. It’s arsenal.
Worst half as half of it was pretty good.
As for Everton that was a certain ref.
Sure Oliver did play his role in denying us.
But our play wasn’t really good in the Everton match.
I think Arteta has done a good job in general, but his obsession with CBs could be his undoing. Arteta copied Pep. Pep decided he wanted to take all the risk out of the game, and decided to move from playing 6 MFs to 4 CBs. That made some sense given that Haaland scores a lot of goals but doesn’t contribute anything else. But MC also had a boatload of creative talent whereas Arsenal do not. So any breakdown or injury leaves the squad exposed.
And I don’t know if it’s getting any better. I understand why he wants Zubimendi. A MF with him sitting deep, Rice as the box to box, and Odegaard pulling the strings looks enticing. But their most pressing needs are obvious. And I’m not sure if Kroenke is going to shell out the £100 million plus it’s going to take to get Isak after their net spend on transfers has been something like £400 million over the past five years.
The funny thing is that they’ve become an unlikeable club. I enjoyed Wenger’s sides, and always rooted for Arsenal v ManU or Chelsea back in the day. But when your supporters are painting murals of your set piece coach, and you’re whining about the ball being the reason why you lost, it’s hard to have much sympathy for them.
I don’t quite think its a good job that Arteta has done. He’s done an OK job.
All the money spent and he’s only delivered the FA cup thanks largely to Auba and that too very early in his reign when he hadn’t spent that money.
That can’t be true, surely??
It’s Arsenal fans. It can be true. Those fuckwits aren’t known exactly for their intelligence.
Hahha
I somehow missed this. I’m not as witty as @SBYM or @PeachesEnRegalia, so I’ll leave it to them to crack a proper joke.
Over to you, lads!
I say again who scores goals for Arsenal, they aint no Newcastle if you offered Arsenal Wood and Odoi now they would snap your hands off.
No worries pal, you can concede with your live body. Perhaps giving us a guard of honour at the Emirates, while reflecting on your 6 years of abject failure
Better still… they can give us a guard of honour at Anfield
I wouldn’t agree with his language, but I’m not sure what he’s supposed to say here.
I think nothing he says is wrong and it is right 5 days ago Liverpool were struggling and Arsenal were closing in and now it’s over apparently?
