The fact remains that we had some very long term injuries last season and were probably in a slightly better position.
Our last 8-10 games were terrible.

Then Gakpo and Jones have had a few weeks off. Morton has been injured now for a good while.

The fun thing with this the season is pretty much nine months long. Odegaard missed two months of it but hasn’t exactly torn up any trees in the other five he’s been fit for. Jesus has never been good consistently, and Havertz spent the first half of the season battling a crisis of confidence in front of goal to the point some Arsenal fans were booing him.
And they’re counting Gabriel being out for two months even though he only got injured last week and so the time he’ll miss will be after the league title has gone and they’ve already reached the CL quarters.
They’re desperate to find a coping mechanism to deal with the fact they’ve come up short again. Even Arteta looks to have given up on the title now looking at that side he’s put out at Everton. Although I’m sure the blues will roll over for them just out of sheer spite.

It’s not only about durations, but having a lot of injuries in one area at the same time. They were without 4/6 forwards for a period. That is a lot, any team would feel that. Don’t think we have to measure our c*cks by looking at days of injuries or whatever. Both teams have their squads and situations. We had a relatively good season in terms of injuries, not too much at once. Whether we win this league by minimal or maximum possible points, who cares, it will be fully deserved. All league winners are. But also, while we’re at that, if we secure the title with some games to go, I do hope we play these games as serious as possible (regardless of the odd change/rotation).

Yeah. We had a terrible last 10 games.
However , Arsenal didn’t close the gap up substantially. It was 9 odd points with a game in hand for us then and it remains 12 points.
Keeping that in perspective. We lost some undeserced points against bitters in their shithole there.

True, that was a bit worse also.
Interesting post from last year that puts their injury troubles this year into context. Saka had a good quarter of that season where he was reported to be struggling with a niggle yet was rarely ever made unavailable. Are their problems this year just the effects of how hard Arteta rode many of these guys over the last 2-3 years?
