The Arsenal Thread

He means “We’ve got our Arsenal back into being nearly men again”.

I hope for Arsenal’s sake, he is taking a different message into the changing room. If his analysis of the season is that they were unlucky, then they are fucked.

True and simple reason is they’re just not good enough.
In fact, as some had already stated, they have regressed.
22/33: runners-up, with margin of 5 pts.
23/24: runners-up (again), with margin of 2 pts.
24/25: almost certainly runners-up (yet again), with margin of at best 9 pts and at worst 18 pts.

His whole narrative around injuries is bizarre because it assumes he is an entirely blameless bystander to lads picking up injuries.

It’s Arteta’s choice to flog players to death - push them through games they don’t need to play, leaving them on the pitch when they could be rested. The Sakainjury in particular was telegraphed for weeks prior to it happening. He looked like he was running on fumes.

But but Pep does it and it’s fine!!!

“The people up stairs just need to do what everyone knows they need to do, because the group is small and needs help.”

They are so eager to push this narrative that Arsenal’s Wiki page doesnt include MLS or Nwaneri in their list of first team players.

Sack him and bring in Brendan as he just won another league title?

If they think that was in anyway half decent yesterday then they are fools. Though I assume they were prime Brazil in the first half as their second was meh.

He really has to win one of the big two if they are going all out this summer and it’s not going be easy. We are the only team not to have regressed in the league, you will expect Newcastle, Man City and Chelsea to improve though Chelsea will buy another 11 and probably destabilise themselves.

There are also teams like Villa who if they do get CL will only improve.

Spends months actively comparing himself positively to us, then when asked to comment on Spurs winning a trophy says he wont compare against other teams

Really? You dont find these things at least remotely interesting? The salty bitch in me always gets a smile out these sorts of things, where someone moves on to advance their career only to see their old team succeed (see Valencia finally winning something after Mendieta left) or a player turfed out for not being good enough goes on to win stuff with his new team (see Strachan at Leeds)

‘I don’t like to compare us to other teams’. The brass neck on that bellend🤣

He says as he wraps himself in a string of lights, making some philosophical point about seeing clearly that no one has any clue WTF he is talking about.

You said all that but didn’t talk about Michael Owen leaving us to win the European Cup?

Fuck him. He doesn’t deserve the spittle out of my mouth.
