The Arse is so…spursy.
Their injury problems are already starting to pile up.
They’re already complaining about refs screwing them

Love that Arse are counting goals scored in a training drill with a wide open goal. Thats the sort of thing my under 8s do.
What sort of tear is Richarlison on??
I’m all for it, but very much feels like he has been hacked or something. You’d think someone with a combination of that head and demeanour would keep a low profile…
Don’t really care. It’s almost as petty and funny as Neil Maupay and his wind up of Everton.
He’s such a cunt. You’re in the wrong place and impacting the game. This is precisely the reason it is an offense for you to be where you are. It is no longer theoretical the moment you got in the way. Hold your hand up, apologize, improve and move on. But he’s been doing this for years so for for what is not the first time gets arsey with the player.
he really is quite unlikeable
i wonder what the sentiment is amongst Gunners fans, not so much of his suitability as a manager, but as a person…
like how we gravitated towards Klopp becuase we felt an afiliation with him…if Klopp did that, im sure we’d come up with a way to back him up…
I mean, he literally ran on the pitch to celebrate a goal🤣
I think the difference between Klopp and Arteta is authenticity. Every about Arteta feels like an artifice - his touchline antics, his cringy team talks. It all feel like learned behaviour.
Klopp was genuine. He meant every word. Even when he was acting like a cunt (and he did sometimes) he was a passionate man caught up in the moment.
The celebration to the Origi goal was amazing. Yes we’re massively biased but it was a reminder that this is what football is supposed to be about, not some sanitized clinical thing that allows people to pick up a pay check and go home.
Arteta has been routinely breaking a rule that is obvious, easy for officials to resolve and any pretense it’s a silly complaint to make disappeared years ago the first time it caused him to have contact with a player.
Just fuck off back into your ducking box
That’s a good point. I’ve always struggled to understand how Xabi and he were good friends but put in the context of Arteta not originally being a cunt but being a weaker player having to become more aggressive and focused on cheating to make it then it makes more sense. The big thing though is he has no charisma nor gravitas and doesn’t instill respect. Unfortunately for him this has been exacerbated by learning his coaching under Pep who gets away with his whingy demanding sourness because he started (and succeeded) at Barca where he already had respect. But its a terrible model for other coaches to follow and you can see that players just will down tools on the legoMan at some point.

he really is quite u̶n̶l̶i̶k̶e̶a̶b̶l̶e̶ slappable & punchable. [/quote]
Fify
The problem is every manager does it. Granted Arteta and Pep do it way more than others, but it is something officials have turned a blind eye to for so long that I doubt they will ever truely bring it back under control - unless they make it an automatic redcard offence and start sending every manager off every game
100%
you nailed it , if Klopp was to do exactly the same thing and have exactly the same reaction to the player, and the media world point it out as hypocracy, it just wouldnt be …becuase the context would be different…
its kinda like im asking to see how Arsenal fans feel about it, or are we just ingrained to hate the opposition, and the rare (direct rival) coaches that don’t make us hate them are an exception to the rule…
to deviate, its why Rodgers always felt an awkward fit here as well
I almost talked about Rodgers in that post, because Arteta’s antics to feel very Brendan. I always had a bit more respect for him than most (I still think he is a good coach, but a shit manager if that makes sense) but the stuff that really annoyed me about him was the fake Shankly-isms.
It was like someone told him that these lot like an inspirational manager, they love a quote they can put on a banner, so he tried to come up with stuff like that
I’ve always said you can survive a week without water, but you can’t go a second without hope
Fuck off!
Did you see the thing Arteta did with the lightbulb? It was toe-curling. More than it being ridiculous, more than the bemused look on the players faces, it just came across as a man trying to promote himself as an inspirational speaker and a great intellect, and falling dismally short. He might as well have gone full Brent.
There is a sense around the club now that if he doesn’t deliver one of the big two this year he is in trouble.
He’ll be in trouble if he has a poor start after 10 odd games.
Well they were calling for him to be sacked after every draw
