The British Royal Family

Are you sure that isn’t one of your gaming characters?

I WISH !!!

No, I am not going to post lots of embarrasing articles and google translate them for you. Sometimes It is quite ok that Norwegian is not a language available all over the world… :face_with_peeking_eye:

Don’t worry, mate: I would Google him…if I were even vaguely interested.

Just interested enough to tell him you’re not interested?

Can’t possibly imagine why you don’t want him in your Royal Family, @Magnus

Although I do think its funny when people like this exist and can still promote things like “5G is a conspiracy by those who run the world” when he is married into a literal Royal Family :joy:

I was sort of just joking but it’s not hard for others to find info about this if they want
I just don’t want to spend time google for English articles myself and translating is a minor hassle.
I was just trying to be funny.

But essentially a princess has married a hack and they are making money out of her princess title, which is a big no-no.
Other story, constantly breaking every day is that the the crown princess Mette Marits first born son is an unsympathetic asshole with friends in circles of organised crime. It involves mountains of cocain snorting, physical and mental abuse of former girlfriends and he is now also charged with 2 (or is it 3 now, I lose track) rapes of different girls.
Just charges, no conviction (may be innocent of rapes but looks bad to put it mildly), so this will be a forever story in the media before the court case. He is in custody now.

So a saga and media feast.

And thats mostly it…

But its pretty bad to the point of a threat to the state. Kind of tragicomic too.

At least he seems to be facing justice. The british royals? No chance.

Technically he is not royalty so there is no legal protection for him. I suppose I should mention that. Police ransacked the royal residence actually…
But none of the actual royals have ever done anything like this, but they have indeed some immunity. But they cannot abuse it really. Well, they can, but then shit shows like we are enduring now happens, and it’s deadly serious for them. They are royals only because the people consent to it after all…

But back in the day Harald rex was a crown prince, he was stopped speeding while trying to reach the olympics comittee in Lillehammer. There was a funny notice in the newspapers concerning the police that stopped him had come to the conclusion that they did not have the power to impose a 200kr speeding ticket on him. I’ll try to search for it and grab it.

Working, working, working-done
You can probably not read Norwegian , but it’s very funny because it is written in a serious understated way. Maybe you can understand some words. A man in his 50’s, with home address at Skaugum (everyone in Norway knows that this is the Royal Farm/Estate where the crown prince has his house) It says that the police had concluded that he was protected by the constitution and that they so could not technically fine him. Dr. Juris Fleicher was then interviewed by the same paper, claiming that the police on duty had been incorrect, and that it was just the father, with adress in Oslo (lol, it is a funny way of saying the Royal Palace) was the only one thus protected for such offenses. Very amusing since no names are mentioned in the notice but it is absurdly obvious who they are writing about !
It caused a stir back in the day, so long ago.

You may well agree with me that the recent stories are a bit worse than this funny notice about police interdicting the crown prince (driving only a bit too fast as well, haha) is less of an actual social and political problem than the recent absolute horror show !
