First of all they went with the EU buying, so no say in what you get.
When the UK started vaccinating other countries were at least (almost)
ready to start, we were still building a registration system.
They said we are starting 3 weeks later than the rest, mid-January, because we want to do it proper, like the rest in the world were not …
We are taking the first jab and the second 3 weeks later approach, the so we need large stock for that just sitting on shelves.
Not everybody can go to the large vaccinating stations they have set up. No people like me who are getting the AstraZelica vaccin have to go to our family physician who never can give the number of vaccinations the stations can.
Not enough jabs because the UK and US are holding back the EU stuff…
So many mistakes and empty promises like this week 400.000 jabs, incompetence from the responsible people in charge is what us holding back.
Look I know the Tories are not popular in Liverpool and I understand why but how they have handled the vaccination process, the speed and how things are done are much, much better than the Dutch government have.
Excellent resumé. So many points in common. Personally I am of the opinion some of those points aren’t of great negativity. I fully wish and hope that even if slow roll out is done properly and well (after silly teething problems). That the EU procurement does actually ‘protect’ the poorer nations which in a free for all would have looked even worst I think. Then there’s the 3 week interval protocol which EU countries could relax, make more flexible, which would help but not to the extent the UK has which I feel is taking unnessesary risk.
I’m not surprised and expected much of this in France. A major problem is it’s being handled by the ministry for health. To be clear they just haven’t the funds or experience to do it. It should have been allocated to the ‘home’ secretary who could have thrown the bucket at it which is probably what the UK did with the knowledge they needed a win.
The French are quite complacent as well, still looking back at how successful the 1st lockdown was here, which had little to nothing to do with the governments response, the people are just a bit too trusting imo (though I expected that as well). It’s not a bad thing in the long term but short term it looks bad.
Let’s face it most of Europe had a very poor response to this pandemic from the start only Germany started well but seems to be getting caught up in nonsense. Just too pompous for our own good I suppose!
It’s about testing an app, how fast they can respond to somebody who tested positive. They can communicate in realtime with the 5.000 who have the app. Something like that
He can’t help himself, trying to impress the loonies in the back rows. Somehow, when he seems to be just about trying to do the right thing he can never quite make it. He’s like a dog when a stick is thrown.
Does the government have data showing the working population have taken more annual leave than usual during lockdown? I would find that very hard to believe. I don’t know anyone who has taken annual leave.
Or he is suggesting people working from home have been effectively pretending to work but instead have been taking leisure time, which sounds very Boris-y?
So what he’s saying is that the poor response in the Autumn is a result of the variant (B.1.1.7) created due to the poor response in the Spring and Summer? Excellent. Reassuring.
As always manipulating the facts, trying to suggest that if the UK is hit by a 4th wave, it will wholly be because of what’s happening in Europe, which is not-so-coincidentally majority B.1.1.7 variant from the UK.
What the fuck is wrong with this guy? Can’t he string a sentence together without adding some irrelevant Gibberish?
