Over 16 million of those are doses of the AstraZeneca vaccine.
None with the Sanofi/GSK vaccine sadly. There aren’t any of those for use anywhere in the world.
Still, FUCK YOU Astra Zeneca.

I’ve already linked this earlier on but this appears to be much more current than your figures, and the figures quoted are between $3.50 per dose for the EU and $5.25 per dose for S.A. J&J are being paid a similar amount by the US government for their vaccine:
Bangladesh, according to Reuters, is reportedly paying an average of $4 per dose via the Serum Institute of India — which is producing hundreds of millions of doses of the Oxford/AstraZeneca vaccine — rather than the $3.50 that 27 European Union countries are charged for doses produced directly by the company. The BBC has quoted the health ministry’s director general putting the total cost even higher, at $5, when taking the extra $1 per dose charged by Beximco, the vaccine’s Bangladeshi distributor, into account.
Meanwhile, South Africa handed over $5.25 per dose from the Serum Institute(EXCLUSIVE: SA paying huge premium for Covid-19 shots from Serum Institute of India), same as the richer Saudi Arabia, according to UNICEF’s COVID-19 Vaccine Market Dashboard, which collects publicly reported price information.
Poorer countries hit with higher price tag for Oxford/AstraZeneca vaccine – POLITICO
EDIT: Seems the EU figure is incorrect: What Covid vaccines cost - and the countries paying over the odds | The Week UK
$2.15 per dose, though there doesn’t appear to be another country paying that low a price with US and UK contracts stipulating $4 per dose. S.A figure of $5.25 is correct.
Clearly another political move against Astrazeneca…
All of your sources regarding the cost to the EU are wrong (although the politico article is closest).
Have the other countries mentioned published their contracts? The actual figures listed in the AZ(AB)/EU contract are that the EU is paying €870 million for 300 million AZ doses. That’s €2.90 per dose.
Although given that the EU don’t seem to care what’s written in the contract, perhaps they’ve agreed to pay €2.90 per dose but will actually pay 30 cents for it.
Canada suspends AstraZeneca vaccine for adults 55 and under - MarketWatch
Deeks said the updated recommendations come amid new data from Europe that suggests the risk of blood clots is now potentially as high as one in 100,000, much higher than the one in one million risk believed before.
She said most of the patients in Europe who developed a rare blood clot after vaccination with AstraZeneca AZN, -1.74% AZN, -1.60% were women under age 55, and the fatality rate among those who develop clots is as high as 40%.
Dr. Joss Reimer of Manitoba’s Vaccine Implementation Task Force said despite the finding that there was no increase risk of blood clots overall related to AstraZeneca in Europe, a rare but very serious side effect has been seen primarily in young women in Europe.
Reimer said the rare type of blood clot typically happens between four and 20 days after getting the shot and the symptoms can mirror a stroke or a heart attack.
“While we still believe the benefits for all ages outweigh the risks I’m not comfortable with probably. I want to see more data coming out of Europe so I know exactly what this risk benefit analysis is,” Reimer said.
Could it possibly be related to menstruation?
So AZ can now be used for 60 to 65 year olds. Doesn’t cover that amny people under those conditions.
TBF, it primarily affects young women, so men of all ages are fine to have it based on the evidence so far.
Bonsai can get pretty competitive I hear
The latest reporting in the UK up to 14 March when 10.9 million Pfizer first doses had been given and 13.7 million AstraZeneca first doses had been given are:
259 fatalities following Pfizer
326 fatalities following AstraZeneca
Remarkably this means that the overall fatality rate for both vaccines is exactly the same.
Still no deaths from diarrhoea following AstraZeneca and thankfully there has been no additional fatalities from diarrhoea than the 4 previously reported for Pfizer.
Still no deaths at all from CVST following either vaccine although this reaction was reported on 2 occasions following Pfizer (1 for every 5.5 million) and 4 following AstraZeneca (1 for every 3.5 million).
Update on the Novavax vaccine being produced in Middlesbrough. This was originally going to be bottled in Germany but following the EU’s behaviour over the last two months the decision was taken to move it to GSK in the North East. It required some government investment but is the logical thing to do.
Also, the Curevac vaccine (German company) that is being developed specifically to deal with emerging new mutations is also being produced within the UK in collaboration with the UK government and our genomic sequencing facilities. This isn’t news, it was announced at the beginning of February, but just thought I’d mention it so that the EU spokespeople in here can make sure the EU know about that arrangement before they claim they didn’t, again.
That’s why soo many male firemen in France have been affected, I see!
… and would that be before or after child birth for example, there just isn’t the info out there and we really do need more info as saying it’s safe, as we keep seeing, just is not good enough. I mean is this due to the active ingredient or the adjuvant? Just an example from the info out there we haven’t a clue about.
Umm…neither the Oxford vaccine nor Pfizer contains an adjuvant. Are you perhaps thinking of Novavax?
dafuq? what?
Even terrorists groups are turning it down
New week, the goal is 500.000.
Monday 61.282 jabs
that’s okay. Canada isn’t vaccinating under 55 at this point anyways LOL!! we’re still doing 55-65.
I’ll take 1 from the top please
