There is just such a politically motivated commitment to refusing to believe that any mitigation efforts have benefit (if masks work, why are we being asked to get the vaccine), are an assault on our freedom, or are a deep state plan to exert their power on us (for reasons, and to what end, are never coherently articulated).

Nate drives me nuts at time. The call for this halt came from the fucking FDA. They do nothing but asses cost-benefit. And it’s also not 1 in a million that is the relevant ratio, because again we’re talking about a subset of people who are experiencing these symptoms, and none of the data I have seen so far indicate what proportion of the 6+ million vaccinated with J&J are in this subgroup.

I read somewhere that doctors have said they feel confident they can effectively treat patients who do suffer from these issues if they are noticed early enough.Will this be enough to get AZ and J&J back on track?
It really is a catch 22 for governments. If you make these side effects known, then you can significantly reduce the case to fatality ratio of the side effects ( it was 40% in Germany when the news broke), but on the other hand when you make it known, people are going to reject that particular vaccine.
Not an easy position to be in for governments and their health services.
Not everywhere have put restrictions on their use and if this ends up being a yearly or twice yearly jab for the foreseeable future then they could still be used to treat those who fall into the safe to use bracket.

to continue on this , there’s a new variant of the covid19 virus which is a double mutation of the virus. There are two strains which have combined right now. … the ICMR (Indian council of medical research) didnt give enough info to the state government (of Maharashtra) when they asked for more information on the new strain of the covid virus…Add that to the modi govt scheduling election rallies and then scheduling the kumbh mela with some idiotic insane number of fucktards ( the people who essentially go to that shit be right now what i call them as… )
in short , it’s plain out idiocy by all concerned.

I still wonder how many of these blood clotting cases would still be happening regardless of a vaccine shot? What’s the average number of those kind of cases per million people, pre-Covid? If it’s 1-2 cases per million (which is likely), maybe it’s just co-incidental?
Sorry , I be drunk… I just had to admit my relatives ( Their kids were in the US , and I had to go admit them in the hospital…why ? because these idiots were insane enough to go to temples and fuck all when they were supposed to be staying the fuck at home…

I hear ya. I just looked at the inbound flights to YVR and two more flights arriving from Delhi tomorrow morning. I don’t see the logic in allowing these flights to even land.
