wife finally got it on her way back from Spain in June, she avoided it for two years. I managed to avoid getting it again since my bout in Feb 2020. have some weird blotchy patches on my hip and inner thigh that showed up a few weeks ago which I’m paying attention to right now
I tested negative this morning. I tested positive last Tuesday, so 10 full days before a clear, albeit i wasnt testing daily, so might have come back clear yesterday (thurs).
Still got a sniffly/blocked nose, but other that that, i’m back to normal. Missus is on day 5 today, and past the worst of it, if shes taking the same route as i did symtoms wise.
do you need to test out from where you come from or were just doing it out of interest?
in australia (maybe just victoria, im not sure) its seven days iso, no need to test out.
my daughter is in her sixth day today and wanted to test herself just out of interest, she came back negative but will not come out of Iso until tommorrow.
Nah no rules at all here now in the UK. See my post from 5 days ago in this thread on the current guidance.
Just doing what i feel is the right thing by isolating whilst i had it. Only way to know if youre clear is test. Wouldnt want to inadvertently pass it to someone that is at higher risk.
True, but I understand the headfuck, when the official guidance isnt that strict and few others seems to be taking it seriously, of continuing to inconvenience yourself with the isolation after your symptoms are gone just because you keep testing positive. I know people who have been in that situation for about 10 days and it seemed like twice a day theyd have to call me to keep them from jumping off the ledge.
Day 10 and the Mrs is still positive.
Take good care of her. Stay safe.
When we had the lurgy in March this year…it took me 10 days to get rid…and two more feint tests…to finally get rid…its a bugger of a virus.
Another magnificent bit of Johnson leadership, no? A Brexit dividend! Thank fuck for the tories.
During the pandemic, some lengths people had to go through to get things done.
Unsurprising - just shows what’s truly important to big pharma.
No idea why we needed experts and medical professionals when we had Shapps

More data on showing how long the 1st booster can last, and the importance of 2nd booster.
I have come to the conclusion that I have long covid. Since having the disease in April I have had a string of health issues and all the symptoms associated with the condition.
I’m not sure what to do with next. There doesn’t seem to be any actual cure as such, only rest. Luckily I’m not working at the moment, which is a relief.
Does anyone here have any experience of lc?
