The thing that worries me most is that they seem to use NHS (NHSX is another one that has bog all to do with NHS) in what appears to be deliberate naming for things that discredit the NHS. These arseholes are very dangerous with their brinkmanship.

I’ll tell you the fucking irritating thing though.
School has no weekend system for reporting this, so will only pick up our message on Monday morning, by which time all his class will be in and mixing.
We’ve felt obliged to Facebook as many people as we know in his class, which shreds any anonymity we might have had in this fucking gossipy, judgemental little village.
And the irony is, as we suffer the judgement of school run mafia, the only place we’ve been in the last three weeks is school and home, so the only place he can have got it is school from one of these titwitches ignoring their own kids symptoms.

Kind of getting nervous our way. For some weird reason we’ve had a one school a few miles away close, yet another school which uses the same head teacher and with Covid cases in the school and area remains open.
Plus the area is fucking heaving with tourists who have obviously decided that the English lockdown is a chance for a holiday.
I’ve been to one funeral, for somebody who died from Covid and my ten month old grandson tested positive 2 weeks ago. Yet today we had those fucking arseholes demonstrating in Liverpool City centre! I don’t think I can despise those people anymore than I do right now.

Odd that. I’m at the coal face so to speak with digital systems to support kids working from home and families contacting schools. I’d be onto the head first thing and submitting a formal complaint to the chair of governors. That always gets results. The head should be (given the situation) contactable every day. Every school at which I work currently had a covid@ email address which is monitored over weekends exactly for this reason.

Here’s an interesting one. Jnr was sent home for 14 days. Neither her nor Mrs left the house during that time. I’ve been working away a lot and only been home a few days in the 14. After ten days they both came down with mild seasonal colds. I’m fine. How the hell does that work???
Some of the viruses that cause colds are capable of producing viral reservoirs, essentially dormant pockets of virus that are out of reach of the immune system. They then break out into active infection when the opportunity arises. The herpes virus that produces cold sores works in a similar way.
Your own immune system may have been able to fight it off, with your exposure limited by absence. Or, you know, you have it in the morning

They both came down with the same bug on the same morning so the dormant theory is out the window. I’ve had nothing. Yes, I could be a-symptomatic but still odd.
Not really, one dormant, then it spreads quickly to a nearby host.

Well, we’ve recorded our 23rd straight day of zero new coronavirus cases and infections in Victoria.
Our Chief Health Officer said “while elimination may or may not be the right word for out state’s status” he was confident community transmission was no longer occurring.
He also said " we have not got into the epidemiological threshold of 28 days yet,but i’m confident we will get to that ".
Further easing of restrictions will come into effect from tomorrow midnight as a result.
All the government have to do now is to ensure the quarantine program protocols for incoming people from overseas continue to be fucking water tight!!.

Meanwhile, the Telegraph is reporting the following change is about to take place:
Mr Johnson will also confirm the length of time people have to quarantine after arriving in the UK from overseas will be cut from 14 days to just five days in a boost for the travel industry ahead of the crucial new year bookings period.
No better way of tackling both the spread of the virus and climate change, in my opinion.

Our travel bubble with Hong Kong was deferred for 2 weeks at the very last minute as HK seemed to be seeing a spike. Frustrating for those who were all ready to go but now have to wait 2 weeks at least.
