Problem is it’s carrying a number of players. Tongue added some impetus but elsewhere it was shockingly bad.

At least wait until your team have batted. If we can make runs and quickly on this pitch, then it means there are runs in it. England could draw level or even ahead by lunch tomorrow. Who knows?
Yeah, classic old cricketing lesson, never judge a pitch / match until both teams have batted. Crucially, another classic, a test is won and lost in the 3rd innings. We need early wickets. Batting by lunch would go a long way to rectifying yesterday’s anaemia.

A bit of a test for Bazball here. Normally you’d let the short stuff go and force the bowlers to adjust their length, but if you’re expecting to score of every delivery, you are bound to take chances.
