Anyone seen “Summer of Soul” yet?
Just watched American Werewolf in London which has a message at the end of the credits congratulating Charles and Diana on their wedding on 29th July 1981, which just happens to be exactly 40 years ago to the day.
Nice little coincidence which I enjoy.
One of my all time favourite movies. That transformation scene scared the shit out of me as a kid. And I’m not too fond of the underground when in England either!
As a kid?!?
That scene still scares the crap out of me now in my 40’s
I always tell Mrs CDO that if Jenny ever turns up to ask me out, I’m going.
I always remember having a conversation about the movie Walkabout at my house when I was young though I can’t remember the context, and my Dad who barely seemed to pay attention to a lot of things suddenly piped up about Jenny Agutter going swimming.
So, American Werewolf in London is worth a try??? Good, I’m running low on good movies/series.
Ha. Yeah. My mam seriously underestimated how gruesome it was! One of my favourites though.
Along with Dog Soldiers it’s the best werewolf movie, with American Werewolf shading it for me.
Highly recommend it. The transformation scene is terrifying still. Some great comedy in there too (John Landis who wrote and directed also directed The Blues Brothers)
Won an Oscar for special effects, before the days of cgi.
Is this the same Jenny Agutter that is a Blueshite fan…?
Being Bill Kenwright’s squeeze an all…
Or is that Jenny Seagrove I am getting her mixed up with…
Nevermind… passed my bedtime so can’t think straight! :0)

Wonder Boys (film)… well worth a watch 8/10
One of the songs from the soundtrack with some film footage
I just watched the most recent Spider Man movie over the weekend and was suprised at how much I enjoyed it. I’m really looking forward to seeing another one.
I honestly couldnt tell you the difference among the 7 (?) previous ones, but it’s interesting choice for this version to psuedo acknowledge the redo by bringing back the old villains.
I watched the new Hugh Jackman one over the weekend by the lady who wrote WestWorld. It’s one of the worst films Ive ever seen.
Dont understand the 'joke’ here.
Have to say Dune and the Next Bond are the two movies I’m looking forward to see in cinema.
I was surprised to see villains from the earlier movies - i guess it might be trying to position the other movies as being the other universes within this ‘multiverse’.
I liked the first Tobey Maguire movie, but not a fan of his other two. Didnt like any of the garfield ones (but thought he was good in the role). I’ve much preferred the two recent ones tying it into the Avengers movies. Also grateful that the most recent reboot didnt take too much time with the backstory - it bores me when reboots do that.
Wordplay. Terry and June was a very popular English sitcom in the early 80’s (in the picture the guy at the top is Terry).
And June at the bottom.
