Watched 65 last night.
Lots of plot holes.
Acting wasn’t too bad.
Babygirl.
Uhmm…
Errrr…
Hmm…
What the fuck?
Alien Earth is decent. Wrong thread.
Watched that a while ago.
Thought it was about 1hr 20mins to long!
Yup a lot of trudging through forests that could have been edited out
I heard a lot of good things about Thunderbolts - that it was a return to form for marvel and it’s comparatively poor box office performance was more a reflection that marvel lost its cultural relevance than a measure of it as a film. I watched it last night and it’s just pointless.
I watched it on Wednesday and found it somewhat flat. I’d been looking forward to it mainly because i really like David Harbour’s Red Guardian. Felt more like a bland tv programme than a movie though and somewhat empty. Obviously it is setting up the next round of crossover Avengers movies so i only hope that they are much much better.
Empty is a good word. Seemingly that is what it was set up to achieve but I struggle to reconcile that with the positive “return to form” response I saw. That cynical “this film only exists to introduce us to a different film” is precisely why people grew tired with marvel so you would have thought this would need a LOT more about it to get these sort of positive reviews.
Have the urge to watch Quest For Fire. 1980’s caveman movie. I really enjoyed it if I remember correctly. It’s probably been 20+ years since I watched it last.
I watched that a while ago, mainly because I had been reading a book about language and it mentioned that Anthony Burgess had created a functional, fictional language for the cavemen. It’s not a bad film.
There was also a spoof version called Caveman with Ringo Starr and a few surprisingly well known actors, which was entertaining for all the wrong reasons.
Ive watched that as well, I think that the zug-zug one, or maybe that’s a third one.
Ron Perlman must of been an effortless casting job.
Ben Affleck’s internal conflict on whether he is an artist or a movie star (paid handsomely to do dumb stuff like Armageddon) is a joy
Saw One Battle After Another last night. 5 ![]()
Intense, unhinged, funny and brilliantly acted by all of the cast. Most movies feel like the same old shit and a waste of time/money. Thank god for the genius that is PTA!
Yes, Parent Teacher Associations don’t get enough credit for their valuable work in the movie industry.
Like every Liverpool fan I’ve been feeling a bit miserable this weekend, so I turned to one of my all time favourite feel good movies to cheer me up.
Clue: Napoleon on the waterslide!
