If this doesn’t turn out to be the best Batman movie ever, I’ll be extremely disappointed.

Watched it last night and thoroughly enjoyed it!

Watching highlander the night where the French American Christopher lambert plays a immortal highlander, who befriends the legendary Scot Sean connery who plays an imortal Egyptian who now services a Spanish king and now goes by the name Ramirez!

Bloody confusing…

Thought you were joking…then I watched the trailer…I loved the first two of the Nolan Batman trilogy, and this looks like it could give them a run for the money. Looks like they could be running Riddler sort of like Jigsaw.

A lot of original source material they can tap into. I loved the comics as a kid so am easily drawn to Batman movies. Although I really like Michael Keaton, I thought his Batman movies were poor (and the subsequent ones with Val Kilmer and George Clooney too). It’s really the Nolan movies that for me have ignited the franchise.

I would have no problem if they tried other Superhero IPs - and in some regards I think they should to broaden the appeal of a DC Universe movie.

Would love to see another Spawn Movie. I think I maybe one of the few who enjoyed the first one.

I still waiting to see a M.A.S.K movie

Loved Highlander 1. They got the actual Scotsman to play an Egyptian. Instant classic.

There’s a Christopher Lambert movie where he plays a ninja which is really good too.

Yes, Yes and once again - Yes!!!

Same here. I’m a sucker for them. Nolan and Bale got closer than any other to the mood in the source material but for me, still didn’t quite capture the inner turmoil and rage that torments Bruce Wayne. They didn’t quite get the darkness that is Gotham either.

First impressions on this one might put this closer again and I welcome it. The stories are generally dark, a reflection of Gotham if you like.

I’m looking forward to seeing it but no chance me going to a cinema right now

I’ve been quietly impressed with the movies released on Amazon at the moment. Watched Arctic (Madds Mikelson), 6 Below (Josh Hartnet) and The Midnight Sky (George Clooney).

Finally got around to the latest Bond and found it a bit meh. I thought it was brave and well done to give it a resolution (in multiple ways, not just with Bond himself). I liked the idea of it being set at a time when MI6 had already moved on. I liked the rare exploration of the personal/emotional side of Bond and the human connections. In fact I think this was the best part of the Craig version. Yet I still walked away feeling a bit meh.

My main issues were a bad guy who was sinister, compelling but underdeveloped. And a plot that meandered in stretches. There were a couple of periods where you could have walked away for 20 minutes and come back and missed nothing.

It is actually an enjoyable watch, brilliant ending.

Exactly my biggest issue with the film. I’ve already touched upon it in this thread but I still can’t get my head around the fact that they got a talent like Rami Malek and basically did nothing with him. You could have put almost any Bond villain in his place and the result would have been the same, no real impact on the proceedings.

Hope Meryl Streep had a body double in that bare arse clip at the end…
She got a real dimply arse if it wasn’t :0))

I must admit I hadn’t picked up on that, and it’s a valid point. I think I was just happy that it was better than some of the previous showings. I’m also pleased that there was some real character development with Bond himself.

As I mentioned I was also pleased with the way it was filmed. I tend to be a bit weird on stuff like that.

Well it made me laugh…

If you’re referring to Fukunaga’s directing, I completely agree, he’s very good and I liked that aspect of No Time To Die. He might be better suited to TV at this moment in his career, though, but I think he’ll only get better when it comes to the big screen.

I loved Craig’s portrayal of Bond, it couldn’t be more different to his predecessors. Finally a Bond with pronounced human side and human weaknesses. I’ve never been a big fan of the series, I have to admit, but I genuinely enjoyed his outings on the whole (aside from Quantum of Solace, I still can’t remember a single thing from that movie).

Watched Don’t Look Up last night. Made me laugh out loud in many places. It’s a solid, if obvious spoof of our climate behavior, it seems to me. As we sat watching it, my family decided Leonardo was miscast in the role of a nerdy professor. They thought his acting missed the mark. I do think it was not one of his better performances or roles. I also thought Jennifer Lawrence was underwhelming, but again, maybe it’s the part she’s being asked to play. To me the standout performance/role was Mark Rylance as the mega-billionaire, Peter Isherwell. He was a scream.

Comedy is difficult and will almost always divide audiences.

Just watched 14 peaks and I’m speechless.

If that doesn’t get people off their arse then nothing will. I’m just in awe of the guy (Nims Purjah). What a machine.

Roy Keanes hard man act is basically marshmallow compared to this nutter.

Here this morning and I’m still dumbstuck by the stuff he’s done.

Climbing Kanchenjunga in a single stint (normally takes 4 camps) with a hangover. Gees. Makes my efforts at getting into work for 7:30 after a session back in the day seem pitiful.

Climbed Everest, Lhotse, and Makalu in just over 2 days.
