The few times (though also for the Netherlands) I’ve seen Geertruida, he looked all over the place defensively. Feel like the “hype” around that guy isn’t on the same level as his quality.
The one and only opera I went to see was Tristan and Isolde - for someone who just wanted a glimpse of the theatre world, it was a bit of an eye opener (closer)…

I quite like that one but it is around 5 hours long. The enjoyment is largely dependent on the quality of the theatre seating.

The Festival Theatre opposite Surgeons’ Hall… couldn’t fault the venue. It was just very long, I was very young (23) and we were going to it (and returning after) from Dundee.
