If you haven’t seen it, there was a BBC film made about the tragedy starring David Tennant as Jimmy Murphy, the assistant manager. It mostly centres on the aftermath, although the events of the crash are seen from Bobby Charlton’s perspective.
It’s written by Chris Chibnall who later did Broadchurch and Doctor Who:
Talking about United’s formations, I guess masses of fans probably won’t notice that the asymmetrical dynamics of today’s formation against Spurs resembled a little bit to 3 at the back.
Dalot playing more reserved than Shaw, Diallo playing wider than Mbeumo, who was inside left (funny, but Amorim also surprised Tottenham in the reverse game earlier in the season, playing Mbeumo inside left).
If United qualify for the CL this season, it would be a bit reminiscent of how we lost the EL final in 15/16, but then finally qualified for it in 16/17. Hopefully that doesn’t mean they’re in the CL final next season!

It’s like 1974 all over again
Sorry to say it again it’s Fellaineh.
He’s going realise soon no one cares about his “content”
So they have to win at West Ham midweek for the scissors to come out ?
Gang loses to West Ham
The cycle continues. Carrick will do well, not that well but well enough to finish 6th, inspires confidence, players come out in support of him appointed full time, he gets the job, club splurges 200m to support him, languishes in mid table by November, gets sacked by December, appoints ex player, cycle restarts.
Will the cycle be unbroken
By and by Lord, by and by…
Oh they will finish top 5
Most dangerous team in the league right now. Out for retribution at all the shame theyve been through. Im not optimistic for our visit to Trafford, we could get drubbed.
Thing is we go there in 2 months, if it was next week perhaps. And it’s shame they brought on themselves.
The thing is if things hadn’t gone for them they could be on 2 draws in the last 4
They are not in European Competition and out of the domestic cups. That’s their big advantage in the race for Top5.
Still think they are one or two injuries away from missing out.
This is their Ole moment. They will make Europe and they might even go one better than Ole and get into next years CL. It will most likely be at our expense. So, dangerous yes, they taking full advantage of a bounce that we could certainly have done with.
Ole did make the CL.
The season he came in, I think they got into EL? Or did then make it to CL and they dropped out early (lost in the EL final if I am thinking about the same thing)?
Yep I have said that before, they have mostly 7 days to prepare for games and their players should be fitter, fresher and less injuries, massive for a team with what they have spent.
