The Man Utd thread (3)

One of the top 10 worst signings in the last 5 years

The competition is very tough

I know he didn’t cost as much as the above, but for sheer calamity and near-singlehandedly dropping huge numbers of points and (so far) massively contributing to one manager getting the sack, Onana surely has to be high up on their ā€˜worst ever signings’ list?

Sancho came with much more hype as the wonderkid with the price tag. And proved to be a damp squib who they could not get rid off. Atleast they got Antony off and did get some fees in return.

As far as the keeping is concerned. Yep. They could pay De Gea reasonable fees(the guy already agreed for a pay cut) and instead chose to dump him and get Onana with a very hefty transfer fee(40m) and the wages component too.

De Gea was making mistakes but he wouldn’t nearly be as bad as Onana. The worst thing is that they had De Gea and Henderson and swapped them out for Onana and Bayindir.

Let’s see.

Hojlund
Mount
Sancho
Antony
Casemiro
Ugarte
Onana
Ronaldo (the second coming)
Regulion
Varane

That along with the mess up they’ve done with their youth signings

Rashford
Garnacho
Greenwood (not entirely United’s fault)5

I thought Ruben Amorim took that title off Onana who took that title off Harry Maguire…

Unbelievably, the likes of Slabby , Shaw & Bruno do not count as failures (for United’s standards).

First Ole + Mou and now ETH also sacked. The holy trifecta is available.

Think LVG is retired too. It’s not even a trifecta anymore.

They get the young keeper to throw to the wolves.

Unfortunately he has come to Man Utd and ruined that.

I hope he’s more a mignolet than a courtois.

Can’t wait for the new signing interview where he says he’s looking forward to training with and learning from his idol Onana :joy:

I’m sure they have enough money in the bank to last a lifetime.
Who cares eh…

Especially Maureen.
He has amassed over €100 million in severance payments throughout his career.

I think it’s why Pardew and Big Sam live the life of luxury.

They still have Onana right? Had a scare when they were looking for replacement. Don’t take the joy away so easily.

great news about Isak and the arsenal points etc etc…

lets circle back to this though…

Senne Lammens rejected Premier League club for Man Utd

That headline sort of makes out Man Utd aren’t a Premier League side

So, if their confidence was already low, Onana and Bayindir will probably feel worse being usurped by this new guy. What sort of message is Amorim sending them? A couple of mistakes, but he doesn’t publicly back them to boost that fragile confidence. Instead, to all intents and purposes, he’s humiliated them both quite openly. What if this young guy starts making errors too? Who does Amorim turn to then?

His (man)management ā€˜skills’ are beyond belief.
