The Man Utd thread

Amorim drops two of their most effective players (in terms of numbers) and then beats their city rivals away? Well, that’s some way to endear himself to Man United fans.

They will big this up but they were awful as were Man City.

Ruben at the wheel.
Only in the job 6 weeks, and he’s rocketed them up the table………… all the way from 14th to 13th

Things need time…

In our first season under Klopp, we finished 8th and in the previous one we were 6th. Also in two cup finals. But point is, we had to suffer a little bit.

We also got to a European final

He seems to know what he’s doing, though. There’s a clear plan to his playing, even if he doesn’t quite have the players to enact it. Surely Diallo extends his contract with them if Amorim keeps playing him but I think that Hojlund will be the biggest winner after his arrival.

I still don’t think Garnacho will be offloaded, I think he’ll knuckle down, but it’s the type of lesson that Ten Hag was supposed to teach their players, yet it ended with Sancho sending cryptic emojis directed to Ten Hag via Instagram after he got the sack.

the emojis werent exactly cyrptic, were they?

I watched the game and couldn’t see a plan in possession, so it’s not that clear

Yup, it’s another daft opinion.

The only thing to take from that game is there is something seriously up with Man City and a cure for insomnia for the first 85 mins.

Interesting result for them. Cheaty have obviously big problems right now, but this will give them a lift and a lot of credit for Amorim, especially by turning it around so late in the game. Let’s see how it goes for them, hopefully not too well too soon. I could certainly live with a few further years of mediocrity at OT.

I estimate they have turned 4 corners so far

He dropped Rashford for a big game for some disciplinary reason that then dominated the pre-game coverage. Yet when the game went poorly he turned to to St Marcus to come off the bench who then won Utd the points with his performance.

Many in the press described it as masterful man-management - a demonstration of his authority but not in a way that cost them points. Yet it was pretty obviously a demonstration that the key players can act how they like and ultimately will be deemed too important to not play.
