They’ll all get back in line after the latest flavour of the season is announced.

Reports today about the complete collapse of the Rashford-Amorim working relationship would seem to make it increasingly likely that Rashford leaves on a free, possibly in a precedent-setting case. He has about 45M left on his contract at the end of this season. Not sure he would command a great deal more than that in the transfer market. I presume they mostly want to make him miserable enough to be willing to accept lower wages, but he may well be in a position to argue they have constructively terminated the contract and he should be allowed to register as a free agent. Would he be able to get 45M over 3 years jumping somewhere on a free? Could be.

They do tend to be loaned out until the very end of their contracts.

If truth be told it’s for West Ham or Everton loan written all over it.

I’m rooting for Rashford to land somewhere and discover his best form. The way Man Utd have treated him seems really poor. With so many problems at the club, from the very top on down, I have been disappointed to see them give a local lad such a kicking.

Take your dough Marcus, make them pay you and move on.

The manager has to hope once he gets rid of these players that they start to show something that isn’t rehashed ETH because at the moment it feels like what I’ve seen for the last 5-6 years.

It’s exactly what you’ve seen the last 5-6 years. When they try to play Amorim’s style they get tanked, so he’s reverted to shithousing - 5 at the back, no pressing, trying to hit teams on the counter. It’s what they did to us, Arsenal, and Fulham over the weekend.

It’s Oleball with 5 at the back instead of four. Ten Hag did the exact same thing in his first season. When he tried to ā€œimplement his styleā€ in his second season, they got tanked and were only bailed out by some jammy goals or oppo teams being shit.

Your point is exactly correct, once they bin off the likes of Rashford, Casemiro, Ericksen, Bruno etc, they’d better start seeing results or he’s gonna go the same way all their managers since Fergie have gone.

Just think. He could have been our manager if FSG weren’t such tightarses.

Great conversation with United supporting colleague this week. I haven’t seen him since mid December.

He’d been on a trip to Panama snd Columbia. So after accusing him of being a Trump plant we discussed Amorim.

The discussion was remarkably similar to one we had 6-8 months ago. Support the manager.

Interesting chat on admiring Amorims honesty vs throwing the squad under a bus ala Mourinho.

Conversation banked in my memory for a 6 months or so.

I’ve got this feeling we will get stories of certain players approaching Radcliffe at some point.

Anyhow another thrill a minute half of football against the giants of European football checks notes FCSB.*

*I suppose they were when the USSR was a global superpower and Putin was just some backwater KGB officer.

Anyhow turned the corner.
