The Man Utd thread

He does look like Henry VIII

It seems like their transfer strategy has shifted towards buying young players again, rather than the likes of Casemiro and Varane.

We will see if they get it right. A 40m deal for an 18 year old isn’t particularly value of course it may become a steal but it’s still very much 50/50 even on the best.

Assume the best thing to say is it will be a decent resale value if the guys at least decent.

Utd’s new vaunted operational model has seen them…uh…go back to their new manager’s old club to buy a player he likes at what looks to be an inflated price for his current level

it's the circle of lifei.gif

Its just a great tactic going back to old players from previous teams

For a team that’s had six ā€œpermanentā€ managers in 13 years you’d think they would learn a bit.

Shhh…let’s hope Jimmy Ratface isn’t on the forum and learning all the things he needs to do to fix things.

Only thing that would make that image better is if he stopped every once in a while to motorboat a granny.

He’s a Tory billionaire. They don’t listen.

Feels sacrilegious to dirty B99 like this, but I couldn’t resist…

Pretty funny that once again Man Utd are out there spending money on a new player while a player theey were all too happy to let go, Elanga, would have fit the bill nicely.

Diallo and Elanga as their WBs would have actually been a pretty nice pair.

That would be too offensive at both wing back positions I think, but yeah I thought a few times that Elanga could’ve been kept by United a little longer and be at least a useful squad player. Maybe he also pushed out to build his career elsewhere in more normal circumstances and more focus on him.
