The Manchester United Thread: That's It. That's the Joke (Part 1)

I think this is probably more like comparing us to when we were owned by Staddler & Waldorf. Had a good manager but refused to give him the backing to get the squad to the required level to compete

Rabiot, milinkovic savic, arnautovic, de jong and christian eriksen.

It is a shopping list from 2019 left behind by woodward, right? or its signings Mourinho wanted to make?

Yep, managing a bigger, more successful team, probably in Mongolia.

BWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA

The Great Goldbridge legit said this in his rant last night.

But your eyes, your two eyes, make Man Utd money without you spending any money. Sorry if you’ve got one eye, but you know, most people have two eyes.

Comedic genius the likes of which football has never seen before.

Yeah, I went on to compare this situation with g+h’s ownership, it’s more accurate. Absolute leeches with zero interest in football, and the clear willingness to take the last penny out of the club whenever possible. The only difference is that they have been successful with their strategy, whilst g+h eventually faltered because of a lack of liquidity after the 2008 crisis.

With hindsight, we really dodged a bullet here. Imagine the Glazers taking over LFC back then, instead of g+h…

he was all the rage 4 ears ago like the rest of those players. that was my point. stop being an old git :joy:

The Glazers have spent more money in the last 10 years than anyone in the PL bar ManC.

It’s not how much they’ve spent. It’s how they’ve spent.

Some real shockers there. Most would be straight red cards today.

Is Manc going with the “Sign all dickhead players”?

Huge amounts indeed, but they haven’t really spent their money. All that money has been taken from borrowings, and it’s the club which will have to reimburse them eventually. They are leeches, and the fact that they haven’t spent a dime on improving or simply repairing OT is proof of this.

That being said, they have compounded the club’s misery by spending their transfer budgets really badly. Long may it continue!
