What’s more Israeli soldiers posted these images on social media claiming mass surrenders of Hamas. I saw these images last night on Twitter and thought as hoaxes.

As Israel presses its military offensive across Gaza, the army has been repeatedly advising some two million civilians to move to a “humanitarian zone” smaller than London’s Heathrow Airport.

I expect the US will be vetoing it, but it makes it damned awkward for them now. Awkward for the rest of the permanent members as well (well, not Russia, but even China), but they can probably just not veto and the attention will fall on the US. I expect all of the non-permanent members will vote in support.
Edit: vote has been delayed, as both the US and the UK have stated they would veto on the basis of their objections.

Voted, UK abstained, US vetoed.
At some point US/EU/GB will stop wringing their hands and make Israel stop.

I’m really concerned that even US doesn’t have leverage anymore. We have seen some pretty strong words from top US officials and those had zero bearings on the proceedings. Israel knows that US can’t do anything and so, Israel is stringing US along.

The fact that Blinken is having to repeat publicly its admonishments of Israel’s conduct of the war is testament to the fact that the current Israeli administration is impervious to US diplomatic pressure.
Stop the aid or stop supplying the bombs , anything less is a waste of breath.

Perhaps, but a unified international response is what is now required.
Add Yemen and other such places.
Troops on the ground in the places under attack.
Challenge the mass murderers to a real fight.

For the third consecutive day Israel raided Ramallah; Ramallah, the bastion (possibly the only one) of Fatah. If Israel feels Hamas has become a threat even in Ramallah, what’s point in pulverizing Gaza to eradicate Hamas!

Be careful with that story. It is a largely manufactured one that has been badly mistreated by people with an agenda about “elite liberal institutions.” These people were being asked questions with nuanced answers about speech codes. There is now a whole group pretending these answers were refusals to condemn hamas or calls for genocide. That not only is not what they were saying but they had all quite clearly made those condemnations

I was there , funnily enough , last year. The Peace Museum is a very sobering experience , and if anyone understands the real horror of the indiscriminate bombing of a civilian population , then the people of Guernica do.
