100%.

Since October 7, Israel and its allies tried to frame the attack like everything was OK in the previous 76 years. Remember how Guterres was vilified for saying that the October 7 tragedy ‘didn’t happen in a vacuum’.

Fucking hell, over 200 killed in a single attack. Monsters.

Israeli genocide. They are the holocaust deniers. They are the Nazis. Zionism must be destroyed.

I’m really surprised that Borrell hasn’t been vilified (or worse) as an anti Semitic till now. He has taken a principled stance from the beginning and have stuck to his position.

I didn’t find this news in other outlets

https://www.rte.ie/news/2024/0609/1453869-israel-gaza/

Israeli minister Benny Gantz has announced his resignation from Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s emergency government, withdrawing the only centrist power in the Israeli leader’s far-right coalition, amid a months-long war in Gaza.

Gantz is an utter coward. He should have resigned as soon as he saw what Netanyahou and the far-right loonies were going to do. Instead of this, he stayed far too long, and has now as much blood as them on his hands. Coward, and bloody stupid too.

It’s worse than that. His prolonged presence has helped Likud and Netanyahu stop the rot. Recent opinion polls show that his (Gantz) popularity has plummeted while Netanyahu has registered a slight improvement.

It’s easy to pass judgement from afar, but to me, he was the useful idiot.

US considering unilateral deal with Hamas - report

The Biden administration is considering entering into a deal with Hamas that does not include Israel, according to a NBC report.

Citing two current and two former US officials, the American broadcaster said a deal to free five US hostages would be hammered out through Qatari mediation if current ceasefire talks involving Israel fail.

The officials did not know what the US could offer Hamas in return, but argued there was an incentive for Hamas to drive a deeper wedge between Joe Biden and the Israeli leader, Benjamin Netanyahu.

Parts of the Biden administration would like to see the Netanyahu coalition government collapse, leading to fresh elections and the formation of an Israeli government more willing to seek an understanding with the Palestinians. They believe the complete obliteration of Hamas militarily is a mirage and say Netanyahu has no realistic plan for Gaza’s future governance.

The US knew that 6 months ago but still decided to arm a genocide

They should just assassinate Bibi. Fog of war and all that

Trouble is that another rightwing nutjob would probably replace him.

Yup. People making Bibi a Hitler figure, solely responsible for the devastation. Ignores that Israel is a colonial project in which the vast majority of Israeli’s see themselves as god’s chosen people and the Palestinian’s as an inferior race.

And make Bibi into a martyr. Which is even more dangerous in the longer run.

There’s nothing gained for Hamas to be keeping hostages anymore , not that there ever was. Israel isn’t going to stop with their relentless attacks. Release the american hostages and hostages having other citizenships.

Security Council has passed the US sponsored proposal for ceasefire. Maybe, there’s hope.

There is this Greek myth about that monster Heracles has to kill, the Hydra. When he cuts its head, two new heads grow…

Killing people has never been the solution. In the present situation, it would make Netanyahou a martyr for all the supremacists there, and would make them even more determined to seize total power.

If only the Israelis were aware of this. They cannot kill Hamas.

Interesting seeing how healthy the hostages were and the interviews saying they were treated well. Compare that to the state of the innocent Palestinian civilians who were imprisoned/taken hostage by Israel when they’re released
