Yes, not so sure about ‘bring about’, but that the Jewish people restoring Israel is a precursor. Israel will come under attack by all the nations of the world for 42 months, the Anti-Christ and all that, then Jesus returns to defend Israel. He may even believe we are in Month 13 now.
Referring to them as Judea and Samaria alone is enough of a tell.

While many of Trump’s appointments are astonishing, this one really might be the most startling. I am sure Huckabee will take direction from the White House, but fundamentally he does not believe that Israel should avoid war with its neighbours, because it is pre-destined to be in those wars. He does not believe that Israel should not use nuclear weaponry, because Armageddon cannot be averted.

But also entirely predictable. This is the wing of the party that pushed for and got the embassy move to Jerusalem. It’s also important to point out this is not fringe stuff. It might be fringe in terms of the population as a whole, but not within the corridors of power on the right.

Don’t know where else to put this, but did anyone see the France game last night? French supporters largely boycotted the game. Official attendance was listed as 160,000 but I think they used City’s accounting for that as the pictures made it look much lower. The game was then further marred by more hooliganism from sections of the Israeli fans, many of whom attended the game with anti arab messages/symbols on their clothes.
Yes I know, you cannot tar everyone with the same brush, but the population of Israel really is increasingly turning into one that is actually well represented by the Netanyahu government.

We watched the first few minutes but gave up and watched the England game instead because of Curtis.
I have a friend in Paris who would normally go if he can get tickets, but he gave it a miss as he was worried that there would be trouble. Being French and Jewish, I think he was worried that he could get trapped between factions of thugs. I suspect many others feared the same.

It was broadcast live (as most France games are) on the main tv channel. Lowest ever recorded attendance at the Stade de France with one policeman drafted in for every five supporters there. Presidents Macron , Hollande and Sarkozy were all in attendance to lend the proceedings legitimacy and to make the point that France remained steadfast in the face of anti-semitism , and only to be repaid (as you mention) by the sight of Israelis once again disgracing themselves on the international stage. I had zero interest in watching the game but strongly suspect that the draw might even have been agreed beforehand to as yet another appeasement.

Really? I thought their votes amounted to a significant minority in the past elections.
In any case, I think the imprisonment of any dissenters to the genocide may have acted as a deterrence, not to mention the national trauma of October 7.
