So maybe the idiot government in Tel Aviv should not light matches ?
HTS Leader: Hezbollah is next
Leader of HTS and presumptive interim leader of Syria, Abu Mohammad al-Jolani: “We are open to friendship with everyone in the region, including Israel. We have no enemies except the Assad regime, Hezbollah and Iran. What Israel did against Hezbollah in Lebanon helped us a lot. Now we will take care of the rest.”
Because right now: IDF has occupied the Syrian Portion of Mount Hermon, with continued Israeli advances across Quneitra Governorate and potentially Daraa Governorate
It’s complicated. Al Qaida in the Levant became ISIS, broke with Al Zawahiri. Then Al Jolani broke with ISIS again, rejoined Al Qaida. Became the leader of the Syrian branch. Cares nothing for their Global Jihad, so breaks with them too.
It’s a journey.
At a time, he sat 4 years in Abu Ghraib, but used another name and another dialect, so the US had no idea who he was.
I followed the Moskva, down to Gorky park. On the road I saw a falling man. an August summer night. Soldiers passing by.
Take me, to the magic of the moment of a window silll ! On a silent night! Where the giraffe of yesterday, is falling from ! Is falling from. whistling
Ok, not my best invention. But I only spent 10 seconds writing, it after all, which is a fair excuse surely?
We can only hope they succeed. I fear the living husks there may not live long without water. I don’t know if they have access to water in the torture dungeon.
I don’t agree with much of what analytica says here, but I agree about the Netanyahu government being completely retarded. Syrian rebel factions, including the HTS, have absolutely NO INTENTION or will to fight Israel, it’s all about Syria for them; but Israel is not afraid to give them one.
Even the most intelligent and sophisticated (like Elijah is, he is usually one of the better sources from the Hezbollah and Iranian camp) of the Axis of Resitance tankies, are having a real wondrous meltdown. The pretense of caring about civilians and people having good lives have probably never been honest though (but this is my take, I don’t know him personally but have read him now and then since around 2000). The priority is always destroying Israel and expanding the hegemony of their chosen pet causes (Iran and Hezbollah in this case), not the lives of actual Palestinians or Syrians (they never matter much).
Elija, of course, whines because Assad is toppled (disaster for Hezbollah and Iran) and because Palestinians widely support the Syrian Revolution.
