If Hamas are deemed terrorists then what they have done this past week is in line with what a terrorist organisation might do.The response by the Israeli government is not in line with what a legitimate government should do.
As dispicable as what happened last Saturday is,Israel actions against civilians since then should leave no one in any doubt about who wants who wiped from that area.
Next May we can go for 1 to celebrate winning Europa Cup.I’ll be having a few tonight while watching the rugby
Bloody oath!
a side point but, why not?
to take it to the basic level…If you’re Hamas, and Isreal is your target…why would you overlook the fact the very people you claim to represent are realiant on the infrastructure your target is supplying.
i mean lets not beat around the bush here…if you can somehow smuggle in enough arms to do what was has happened a week or so ago…
serious question for those more educated in the events, but how is egypt getting such a free ride in this?
Police told a BBC team to stay still or they would be shot
Not to dismiss the fundamental point about Egypt keeping their border closed too, but on the specific matter of water the problem is pretty basic. There really isn’t any on the Egyptian side, as a matter of geography Gaza is on the western fringe of the coastal watershed and borders on desert. There is no Egyptian city opposite Rafah. Arish is 30km west, and has minimal water infrastructure itself. The Gaza border is one of those bizarre borders visible from space, heavily urbanized on one side of the line, and desert on the other side of it.
Give Hamas the military Israel has and they’d wipe them out completely without any hesitation. Does anyone seriously doubt that?
Doesn’t mean what Israel is doing aren’t war crimes.
They would have wiped them off 20-30 years ago
Hamas are terrorists so you’d expect that of them.We should never expect that from a legitimate government, yet if the world wasn’t looking on they would be doing the same thing.
Let’s also add that Hamas leaders don’t seem to give a fuck about their own civilians either.
Noticed this clip from Patrick Keilty on RTÉ’s Late Late Show. No answers but I thought it was worth hearing from someone else who had suffered during an ethnonationalist conflict.

One difficult aspect of all this is the intertwining of Hamas and the Palestinians.
I strongly suspect most civilians would throw off Hamas, if given half the chance, but Hamas are the leaders they are stuck with, for better for worse.
Worse actually, as many thousands of ordinary civilians are going to die.

Barbaric. Fuck anyone here talking about ‘virtue signalling’ or ‘bleeding heart liberals’
Hamas wouldn’t have existed if PLO/PA had played their role. Like I said in an earlier post, militant organizations like Hamas and Islamic Jihad are filling the vacuum left by PLO/Fatah. The constant encroachments in West Bank where Fatah/PA is dominant is only serving to strengthen Hamas narrative. You can say that the Palestinians are burdened with a scum and a thug.
It’s been a tough road and we still have no government because they won’t share power, but yes, peace here could be described as a miracle.
More people will die in the next few days in Gaza than were lost in the entire history of The Troubles. Similar size population
I don’t think it’s been mentioned on here, maybe I missed it, but the bodies of several of the Israeli hostages were recovered today. Also barbaric.
Nobody is saying that what Hamas are doing isn’t barbaric.
But for a government to do exactly what a terrorist organisation is doing- deliberately targeting civilians- is completely unacceptable.
I didn’t say they were,I was just posting the information because I don’t think anybody else has.
