The Middle East Thread

‘Inorganic Transactional City’, ‘City of Mercenaries’. Harsh words, but true nevertheless.

Damn. One would have thought that EU learned its lesson from the genocide in Gaza, the atrocities in West Bank. mindless bombing of Lebanon, and Iran, and would be putting Israel in some sort of leash.

Do we want info on the Israeli operation in Lebanon in this thread ?
Do we seperate the US and Israeli operations against Iran from Iranian retaliation and activation of its proxies, like Hezbollah, leading to the operations in Lebanon from the confrontation with Iran ?

Just curious as to what others wants, because I do not separate, it is the same war to me (Iran doesn’t care about borders, so why should we?) and unless someone has a good point, I will continue posting everything relevant to the israeli operations in Lebanon in the Iranian War thread and not this one, since it is after all a direct and not an indirect consequence from Hezbollah entering the war on Iran’s side.

I think we should keep that in the Iran thread since it’s a derivative of the US-Israel aggression on Iran. This thread should be dedicated to issues which are not intertwined with the the US-Israel aggression on Iran.

While this could technically be posted in the Russo-Ukrainian war thread, it fits this one better as it is so indirect to the actual war.

“As seen from the photo published by Kateryna Yaresko, Israel has unloaded stolen Ukrainian grain from a Russian ship in the port of Haifa. Top - photo from Haifa. Bottom - while passing through the Bosphorus. The waterline has risen quite nicely, wouldn’t you say?”

Someone needs to teach these muppets a lesson.
Could you imagine the outrage (fake?) if one of them got a black eye from intervening local police or other?

I mean, decades ago I saw videos of this guy shooting people (who looks starved) in the back of the head with an AK.

Why not sing the 2nd ship?

Screw both Russia and Israel at the same time.

I would rather have it arrested.
It’s essentially food, it should not be sunk, unless necessary. Destroying food in a world with starvation is questionable ethically.
The point is that Russia should earn no money from it, and Israel is not allowed to buy it.

But this is a lot of Ukrainian agricultural produce.

Who would do (seize) that? Considering the location the options are

US :joy:
Greece :man_shrugging:
Turkey

Ukraine thinks Israel should have seized it and the previous ship, as does my cat (she is making it very hard for me to type at the moment).
Did I mention that spring has come ? I am full of cat hair. It’s everywhere, as she sheds her fur.
