When I was in my 20ās, my mother had a cat we called Panzer-KĆ„re. He fell down a stair as a kitten and had (sadly we only found out later) brain damage and was deaf.
He was psychotic and dangerous, I have never experienced anything like him ever (reason for his name is that he didnāt take care of his own fur like healthy cats do, so it was always a knotted brutally harsh āsteel coatā and it was very difficult to use a scissor on him without getting molested).
He bit so hard. Usually cats when they bite you, they donāt bite to kill you like when they bite a mouse or a bird. But he had 0 limitations, and used maximum force in his jaws. I had nerve damage in my hand after his teeth penetrated (I had to throw him off the veranda, from the second floor, that time, since he kept biting and would not release his jaws; so I walked out onto the veranda and broke his jaw off my arm and threw him over).
We tried our best to love him, but I was so happy when a neighbour drove him over with a car. At least he didnāt suffer. Tried to love him, but it his death was for the best. He was dangerous, he gave no signals before attacking. Children could not be near him, he was literally dangerous for real.
But this cat, this lovely cat, isnāt like that. She is a monstrously good hunter, prefers to eat mice and birds over cat food, but she is kindness itself with people.

Yes, our āpsychopathā is nearer to that. There is an endless stream of dead rodents and birds. Although one of her favourite games is to lie on her back and let the dog roll her around the floor.

Itās actually very common for cats with that kind of fur, as their Felis Silvestris gene is more dominant (from what I have heard, this isnāt Magnus using good sources, but Magnus repeating what people have told him).
Itās the same with her. 1-2 mice every single day outside winter and early spring, at most 4-5 per day. She leaves the bladder and the stomach, nothing else. Itās more than a bit disgusting, there is always a bit of a bloodstain outside the door, as well as those mice stomachs. She has a mouse farm right outside where there is seemingly infinite mice (she eradicates not only clans, but entire tribes). I am not exaggerating.

Thats not war, it crosses a line by so fucking much you canāt even see the line. If someone in the military of a normal civilised country seriously suggested that, they would be sent for psychological testing. Probably booted out.
Itās indulging in the sick fantasies of a psychopath. Even worse multiple people thought it was a good idea and should be invested into.
Itās the sort of depravity incompatible with humanity. It defies basic ethics. Itās a crime against humanity.

Itās not like I have many hopes of Israelis treating Palestinians with dignity. But this is a step way too far.

Owen Jones is a naive idiot with selective ethics ideas and I wouldnāt use him as source normally, but I donāt doubt that it happened to a few Palestinian prisoners who Israel thinks are Hamas on the initiative of some lietanant or captain. And really, this isnāt Owen, but relatively okay sourced by Btselem and other serious actors. Itās a couple of Israeli soldiers that have claimed that they witnessed this happening to a few Palestinians inmates. Dogs are CERTAINLY used to humiliate and frighten suspected Hamas members, that is not up to debate and is extremely well documented.
Dehumanisation is a thing. Russian soldiers have done this with Ukrainian POWs and civilians in a methodical manner, usually using batons, their own dicks or steel pipes, but dogs have also been used to humiliate (that is not new). In Sudan, this is done. Elsewhere too. Hamas are also not regarded as people by many Israelis after October 7th, so
This is no worse than in those conflicts and I would be honestly surprised if there was nothing to it. Some skepticism is very healthy, but one should not just assume that this could not happen. But one should be skepitical of scale and methodology. But I donāt at all find it surprising that some were raped with dogs in order to crush their spirit. Sexualised violence in war is extremely common in Africa, Russia and much of Asia; so why should we assume that all israelis are better than that ? I donāt. They have comitted war crimes on scale. That some also use sexual torture, I find extremey plausible and really, there is too much smoke for there to be no fire.
Personally, I have certainly read too many reports of this and not just from Palestinian witnesses where one always should be aware of the propaganda value. I believe it.
