Defenders of the Faith - best Priest album.
Stained Class for me.
Bringing in my favourite Liverpool+metal tie-in…
The mighty CARCASS!!
This is a masterfully crafted metal song
The very definition of all killer no filler!
Can’t go wrong with that
Love Defenders as well , just that the programmed drums on the album release , i find jarring. The songs are much much better live ofcourse.
Freewheel Burning makes me want to go Breaking The Law
So , I saw Maiden live in India in 2007. Lauren Harris (Steve’s daughter) was one of the opening acts and her guitarist was Richie Faulkner (plays for Priest now). Felt that he was the best guitarist on the day (across all acts) then , and it def stands now as well.
poison had some great solos - every rose, fallen angel, life goes on and i wont forget you to name a few
grat song from a great album. Darkened roiom is another great song. they are still excellent live as saw the last oct
Saw the creator of those solos, Mr Richie Kotzen, with the Winery Dogs last week. Brilliant all around!
wasnt CC Deville the guitarist on those solos?
You’re right, it was CC
If your fret wanking your wasting my time.
Anyhow Springsteen is the perfect rock voice that’s aged perfectly. Slightly more hoarse nowadays but still great and his shows are fantastic.
Anyhow what I’m seeing here is bands of a certain age so I’m not really surprised most of you hate anything after the pissed up early vibes of Arctic Monkeys (which can I say was actually pretty crap).
Haha, it’s an interesting coincidence - my “friend in a band” and I discussed some music yesterday and we stuck a bit with Richie, with my friend having seen him opening for Iron Maiden with Lauren Harris’ band. I told him that I had no knowledge of him prior to his arrival to Judas Priest and that I thought that he was there only to help them close the shop (you know, long blond hair, great looking guy with a Flying V-shaped guitars for one final album and tour).
I can’t describe how happy I am to have been proven wrong, I can’t remember the last time a guitar player captured my attention in such manner, he made Firepower a modern masterpiece (obviously, Andy Sneap’s production was killer as well). If I could play guitar, I’d love to play it exactly like him. He reinvents the guitar sound of '70s and '80s, brings the modern touch to it and doesn’t get lost when he plays. I hope that his next Judas Priest album will be a killer as well - but I still haven’t heard Elegant Weapons, I’m waiting for the whole album to drop.
Wtf is going on in here?
Where’s the music?
Frozen in time due to quality of the video… Watch it and wallow in nostalgia :0)
