that whole thing is nuts.
I’ve got a family friend who has been maintaining a reknowned downhill track about 20min from here, some of the shit he does is unreal.

That’s a rather big ‘if’. We don’t all live in the wilderness and spend all day fishing.
How on earth did anyone survive before the internet?
Watched the whole thing now and , rightly or wrongly , couldn’t help but feel sorry for him. I won’t go into it in case anyone else wants to watch it , except to say that truth really is stranger than fiction.

20+ years on and I still find myself looping back to this album. 20yrs ago we went on a 10mo honeymoon to Aussie as backpackers. Thievery Corp and Radiohead were high rotation at the time. Discovered Fat Freddy’s Drop on my travels.

The introduction is particularly interesting in my opinion.
Another song here that might be loosely labelled in the anti-war category. French composer Léo Ferré released this excoriation of Spain’s Generalisimo Franco. Incredibly this is almost sixty years old yet still sounds quite modern. Nice video too.
Feeling nostalgic so here are a couple of Tism bangers. Some of the cultural references may be too 90s Melbourne but why not:
I love to hear that people who are into heavier music listen to synthwave/darkwave bands! I constantly mix them up with She Past Away on the basis of their name.
I just notice this on Twitter:

I believe Annie who was also in that picture also died very recently. Probe was central to a lot of Liverpool teenagers in the late 70s and 80s. It’s surprising the number of people who worked and/or hung around there made it big in the business.
I am currently listening to this because it’s fab and groovy and I’ve had a few …
Excellent choice of tune
Children should be seen and not heard.
Great stuff. I’m sure that would suit my mood at any time.
