Love this tune, great riff, great vocals, uplifting even though it shouldn’t be, great everything!

Great cover of the best Lizzy song!!

And btw get your ears into the new Stones album. Gee it’s cool. The song with Gaga is great.

Confused Tom Hanks GIF

I really can’t pick a favourite from these two. Both are equally brilliant … and equally bonkers.

This came on my iTunes while I was at the gym today.

These sorts of mash ups are often more miss than hit, but this guy is so good at it. Unless you were a big fan you wouldn’t even realize this uses 3 separate Beastie Boys songs because it’s all so seamless and he makes each one fit just as well as the previous ones had.

Saw Nile Rodgers last night. True great. Lots of fun.

off top of my head I feel like there’s more than 3 Beastie samples in there. just the one run-through so far I’ll have to listen to more of their stuff later.

There is a small Timberland section at the beginning after the Ferris Bueller, but once the Beastie Boys kick in at about 40 seconds the main progression is shake your rump, body movin then Alive to finish. It wouldnt surprise me is he squeezed something else in there on top of those though.

if you’re a fan, try to find a copy of this

Mike Portnoy is back with Dream Theater!! Can’t wait for the next album and tour!!

Not like DT’s last albums with Portnoy were anything special.

The problem is Petrucci and Rudess , with their over indulgence for musical wankery… And la brie , myung are too passive in terms of composition to have a say.

Hopefully this will nudge them back to more creative ways and more metal ways

I shouldn’t be this indifferent but I unfortunately am. I lost interest in their post-Six Degrees material to the point where I couldn’t be bothered to listen to their last two albums. Their ability transcends that of 99.9999% of human beings but I fail to hear music in that. Then again, even though I frequently return to their ealier material, my tastes have changed over time.
