Oh no, let’s not start that again  (assuming you saw Curtis wearing one and it all kicked off on TAN (or was it when we were still on TIA).

This one’s more like those shoulder gun holsters that were ubiquitous in 80 US tv shows

Yeah, Gatecreeper are very cool, too! Before their latest album, I found them to be one of those bands that make good songs but not good albums - their latest was excellent, if death metal can be fun, it was precisely that. Hopefully they continue down that fun route.

You’ve clearly never heard of Lawnmower Deth.

You lucky bastard, that’s all I’m going to say. All of you are lucky bastards actually, you can always expect a visit from your favourite bands regardless of their level of fame!

Their latest albums failed to grow on me, I fully understand you. They are not bad, they’re just not what I wanted to hear from them.

All Maiden albums post Brave New World sound the same.

They played at my local students union in 1980 if I recall.
Original lead singer was still with them.
Not really my thing back then (or ever), but went anyway.

I don’t blame you or anyone for thinking that. Dance of Death and AMOLAD aren’t like that in my opinion, though the former lacks the consistency of the latter - again, in my opinion. I fully agree about the latest three albums, though, even though there are songs that I like.

Not sure if the right thread for this, but it blew me away.

Always struck me as one of life’s great mysteries ; the utter genius of those early songs … followed by fifty years of mediocrity.

Saw him play 20 years ago. One of the worst gigs I’ve ever been to but still privileged to see him play. The early stuff was truly magical

Saw him in a double header with Neil Young a few years ago, he was terrible, but like you, I felt privileged to have seen him live.

Neil Young was awesome though :grinning:

I saw him in 2013. I was so nervous because I needed him to be good since he stands above all others for me. And he was great.
