It’s exactly 9 years since 2500 lucky New Yorkers who got seats for an evening in Carnegie Hall had one of the greatest concert experiences ever captured to tape. The magic of the players and conductor was matched by the engineers who taped it. To my ears simply the greatest sounding live performance ever:
Beethoven 7th Symphony: 1st Movement
John Eliot Gardiner conducting the Orchestre Revolutionnaire et Romantique
16.Nov 2011 Carnegie Hall, New York
This is a link to access the file from Google Drive, although it’s 200MB + just for this first movement, if you want to grab it, feel free:

(No pirates involved, just in case you wonder! - ?)
Gees that was well done.
Shame a lot of the people in that video don’t believe a single word of the song.

Concert for Bangladesh, August 1971, New York.
The spirit of something superhuman was with him that night. This is a man who’s at his peak, fully-engaged with all of his being and none of his ego making a difference in something that matters more than Beatles entertainment stuff.
Ravi and George raise the bar in the early part of the set and Dylan’s really great fully acoustic set matches it. Thanks for posting this @Iftikhar
It was a bit hit and miss with Stacia…

There are certain bands that I love listening to in autumn a bit more than I usually do. Katatonia is one of them. I wish I could have been in audience for this one, I always thought it was great when metal bands go acoustic - the darker their music is, the better they sound unplugged.
I agree with you that singing in harmony seems to have slowly disappeared from popular music.
In fact music has slowly disappeared from popular music.
Possibly but there has been quite an upsurge in music from the likes of Pentatonix as well but I agree it isn’t front and centre in the charts etc.
Which reminds me of this little gem. I like to see what else they’ve done from time to time.
My favorite band. I never see this before.
Thank you Achtungbaby
Is it weird that I loved (truly, madly, deeply) Joshua Tree but not the other albums?
I liked them all but Joshua Tree was the best.
I see them in Denmark, Sweden and Amsterdam. I HOPE to see them one more time in Dublin
Lanie Gardner, a great cover of fleetwood Mac song.
Wow
At first I thought that was some pretty impressive lip syncing, then the chorus kicks in and you see it is her singing by herself. That is pretty impressive
Wow she’s good
