Anyone of a certain age and familiar with the Liverpool music scene might remember The Pale Fountains who scored a couple of (very) minor hits in the eighties.
Their lead man , Michael Head , released an acclaimed album last year , titled ‘Dear Scott’.

Just thought I’d leave this here. I can remember when I was learning to play guitar I would play along to this at full blast - feedback and all. It drove my mother up the wall. Interestingly, Hendrix included the riff at the end of “In From The Storm”. Clearly he had fans.

Public Enemy were quite possibly the most important band to come out of the US , and Chuck D was one of the most eloquent and inspiring individuals to ever pick up a microphone. (Really hope I can catch this somewhere.)
Although you don’t hear that much about him now he’s still making records , both with PE and solo.
In 2020 , after George Floyd , and at the height of the BLM protests , he decided to remake Fight The Power in collaboration with others. The result was something almost as startling as the original , and arguably even more pertinent given its context.
