It was from last season (25/26).
Bezos also has Blue Ocean for the aerospace stuff and the Washington Post.
Amazon has aquired Audible, Whole Foods, Twitch, IMDb, Zappos, One Medical and Zoox (autonomous vehicles).

not about ordering stuff from them. There is literally so much of the web that’s tied into AWS etc. Almost every US/EU government service website almost always resides within a AWS cloud.
It’s like someone wanting to be anti - China without realizing that parts of the laptop/tablet or the entire thing is made in China.
You don’t need to be a direct user of Amazon and it’s deliveries/products/OTT services. It’s there always.
Anyhow
I had a Pixel phone. It had a great camera and I enjoyed it until the battery started draining really fast. I tried every trick to no avail. Then the battery started expanding and it broke though the phone’s cover. It was like something in a sci-fi horror. So I ditched it and went back to Samsung.
Like Arne Slot’s tenure ![]()

Google Gemini…
Is jeff Bezos a good shareholder for Liverpool FC?
Still waiting for a response…
How long ago was that the early pixels had that problem with the batteries
My son’s Google pixel phone had that same expanding battery problem earlier this year so it seems to be an ongoing issue - much like the legacy of unfit players and insufficient ESC slots from Slot’s tenure ![]()
Never really liked Google pixel so
Indeed, but that doesn’t make them more palatable for me, or means that I’ll change my manners. I’ll continue to ignore them as much as I can.
(My post was in answer to LondonRich who wrote that everyone must be ordering from them. I don’t.)
I’m more annoyed about us aligning ourselves with AI than I am about the Bezos stuff to be perfectly honest, but I think everyone has their own red line.
The only AI I want associated with Liverpool sits in the dugout on match days.
Evaluating whether Jeff Bezos is a “good shareholder” for Liverpool FC depends on what fans and the club expect from an investor.
In August 2026, Fenway Sports Group (FSG) agreed to sell a 30% minority stake in Liverpool FC for £1.65 billion (valuing the club at £5.5 billion) to a consortium named 1892 Holdings. Jeff Bezos participated as a passive, indirect lead investor via the K5 Sports Fund, alongside other major figures such as Amit Bhatia and Eduardo Saverin.
Here is a breakdown of what his role as a shareholder brings to Liverpool—and the potential downsides.
Why Bezos is a Beneficial Shareholder
Financial Stability Without Disruption: Bezos is entering as a passive investor. He will not take a seat on the board or oversee day-to-day operations. For fans who favor FSG’s structured management, Bezos provides deep-pocketed backing without creating operational chaos or political interference.
Commercial and Media Synergy: Through Amazon, Bezos brings unrivaled expertise in global logistics, digital distribution, and sports media rights (e.g., Prime Video’s live sports streaming). This positioning gives Liverpool leverage as digital broadcast and global content monetization evolve.
Astronomical Financial Cushion: As one of the world’s wealthiest individuals, Bezos’s involvement raises the club’s global profile and provides strong long-term equity backing, giving financial institutions maximum confidence in Liverpool’s balance sheet.
Potential Drawbacks & Concerns
No Direct Transfer Budget Impact: FSG and the club have confirmed that this investment will not alter Liverpool’s self-sustaining financial model or dramatically inflate the summer transfer budget. Fans hoping for state-backed style spending (e.g., Manchester City or Newcastle) will not see that approach under this minority structure.
Ethical and Corporate Culture Friction: Bezos and Amazon have faced persistent criticism over labor practices, corporate tax strategies, and workplace standards. Supporters who value the club’s historic working-class identity and community values may feel uncomfortable with his involvement.
Purely Financial Focus: Because Bezos holds an indirect stake via a venture fund (K5 Sports), his interest is strictly financial and strategic rather than driven by football fandom.
Summary
Bezos is a strong, low-risk corporate shareholder from a valuation and commercial growth standpoint. He offers immense financial prestige and media savvy without disrupting FSG’s established football management structure. However, for fans seeking a sugar-daddy owner to spend recklessly in transfer windows, his passive minority stake will not change how the club operates on the pitch
Is that an AI post. Yes it is.
It’s an itch that you can’t scratch away.
I do think Bezos is a piece of shit. But there are much worse dickheads.
Suarez syndrome? “He’s a dick but he’s our dick”?
Nope. Suarez was a player who we could manage to an extent. I do think Bezos is a shit cunt but as long as he’s not wholly involved with running the club ?
Of course it is, bonus was still waiting for a response from gemini…but as a major investor in google as well , bezos will get a free pass from gemini to some extent .
