The Owners - FSG

Despite it’s high annual rate, it isnt really a substantial sum over the length of the contract. That total commitment is what moves the needle in baseball, not the per year amount. So in this case its limited scope and multiple get out clauses means the overall financial commitment is pretty small.

It is an interesting move from a purely baseball perspective, but I am struggling to see how it is remotely noteworthy outside of the question of what this means for the Sox’s prospects this season.

A graphic designer’s brain fart?

I do like that they have the simple Liver Bird logo on the kits now. It stands out much better than complicated crests.

I like that they talk about “consistent look and feel” whilst letting kit manufacturers do all kinds of nonsense with badges and the like and roll out a new shade of red for the home shirt every season.

Maybe FSG will be able to trademark this one.

Happy days.

Does this mean we won’t see a repeat of last season in the CL :joy:

I am curious about something for those who go to anfield on matchday.

If Salah leaves the club on 30th June 2025 with Kubo or Kudus signed, how would the crowd feel??

If Salah leaves the club on 30th June 2025 without any replacement expecting Elliott, Chiesa and Doak to rotate among the starting lineup, how would the crowd feel??

Weird question. Obviously it would be better if there’s a replacement.

What if there is no replacement for Salah?

Will it be the end of the world ?

Next.

Football fans are fickle. Sure , we’ll struggle without Salah for a bit. But there will be others to take up the mantle.

You support Liverpool or you support Salah first?

One day Salah will not be a player for Liverpool and we have to find the next star. Might be someone already at the club, might be a transfer, but someone else will come along. They always do.

Very wise for a nipper.

if the ones that is to take on Salah’s mantle happens to be Chiesa, Elliott and Doak…

I think it is gonna be more than that…I saw on TIA’s article in 2024 that Salah is responsible for over 60% of LFC’s goal contribution in the league and over 50 over % over all competitions…That is still not factoring the Salah fear factor on defenders that takes off attention from our midfield runners and full-backs…

I support Liverpool but I got doubts on FSG being able to replace Salah effectively. It could turn out to be the same effect on the squad when Suarez left and Liverpool struggled mightily for goals.

Neither they are just an Agent Provocateur.

We are in a much healthier state than when Suarez left.

Mo Salah is, in my opinion, one of the three best Liverpool players I’ve ever seen, so, of course, it’s going to be difficult to manage the transition. There’s every chance that it will cause us problems, but the club have had plenty of time to make plans, and have just very successfully managed the transition from one of our greatest ever managers and replaced him with someone few of us had heard of a year ago.

The team and the club will not fall apart with the loss of one player, no matter how great he is.

Sure, but what if the club doesn’t prolonge Arne Slot after 2027, and the club relies on the likes of Sipke Hulshoff and Heitinga, how would the match going crowd react?

And the million dollar question, what happens if Jurgen Klopp steps down?!
