Wasn’t it being hailed as the saviour alternative to Twitter not long ago on here?
I notice no drugs charge so far. Strange they released that news on his arrest. That’s what really made him public enemy number 1 I think.
If it’s not drink or drugs…why oh why didn’t he stop and say he’d taken a wrong turning…is he anythng to do with the person the ambulance was going to…

If I were to guess, given what we know about him, PTSD will form a big part of the defence. (Rightly or wrongly). Absolutely speculation on my part here.

Yeah, I’ve deliberately stayed clear of this, just trying to process it.
Initially I did think it was a wrong turn and panic thing, but the more footage I see, the less I’m able to believe that.
I’ll just keep waiting until more info and the investigation reveals more information. Imo we don’t know enough yet and there’s too much noise and distraction clouding things.
A tragedy in so many ways.

Had a week to process this, and I’m just thankful.
Thankful that none of my fellow reds were killed. Thankful that everyone is on the mend, even the most severely hurt ones.
Yes, the perpetrator should be punished to the maximum extent, both for the incident and as a deterrent, but punishment doesn’t bring people back to life.

The original statement said that he was arrested under suspicion of DUI. It’s possible that the forensic test came back negative, or that they are holding that back pending other charges.

Just been remanded in custody and will appear again at Liverpool Crown Court later today, apparently.

His lawyer is going to claim PTSD etc etc. And before people come in and say that we wait before speculating. This is the standard defense.

Not saying PTSD isn’t a thing, but it and mental health all too often are the 21st century “bad back”.
As in, very hard to disprove
He’ll now next appear in court on August 14th, provisional trial date set for November 24th.
