Condoléances to the right honourable PM Andy Burnham and his family who lost his dad not two months after being elevated deservedly to be prime minister, it is a devastating blow for him after his joy at the weekend for finishing the great north run RIP.

Bonnie Greer the playwright and novelist has passed away aged 77.
I remember her though from her role as critic/commentator on a culture show that used to run i think on Friday nights at 11pm on BBC 2

The world seems poorer now you are gone
I loved Bonnie on Question Time and other Talk Shows and how she brought down people to earth.
She was so intelligent, witty and a humanitarian. She woke us up to be culturally aware about who we were, especially if you were women of colour and to discuss political topics within race relations, equality in Britain.
