Wish Prem refs gave indirect freekicks for keepers holding the ball for too long.

Dont worry, Webb has a solution for that. They are going to start giving corners rather than indirect free kicks because they are more of a punishment…for an infringement refs never call anyway.

More of a general sports debate, but will post it here. Interesting stuff, some of which I didn’t know.

Hope @norwegian_wood is fine!

Zubimendi went off injured at the weekend - Done his back in are the initial reports - Unlikely to transfer anywhere now in January

With what Mundo Deportivo are calling a injury “in the right dorsal lumbar region” (read that as ‘lower back’), it does bring the potential of a Zubimendi transfer into immediate doubt.

Or, his agent has agreed terms and they collectively decided to take himself out of the firing line until Jan so nothing bad happens to him between now and then that could blow up the move.

He’s pulling a Coutinho.

either way… transfer should be off now…

in some ways a bad back would be the lesser of the two…a bad back can be worked on…

So has he injured his spine or is he lacking a spine?

No, that would be Manchester United.

Given Gravenberch’s performances, I would think City would have already overtaken us in the hunt for his signature…[putting tin foil hat on]…I wouldnt be surprised to find out they influenced his decision to change his mind last summer…[takes tin foil hat off again]

That was before Rodri’s injury, so I don’t think he was on their radar, their interest since then is just because of the gaping hole they now have in midfield.

He also doesn’t play full back.
